With Nakata as host, the program “NIHONMONO: Hidetoshi Nakata’s Journey to Discover Japan’s Authentic Treasures,” which shares the excellence of Japanese culture and craftsmanship, began exclusive distribution on Amazon Audible starting Friday, November 8!

With the aim of “rediscovering” culture and techniques Japan can be proud of worldwide by directly experiencing the culture, traditions, food, and craftsmanship of regions across Japan, Hidetoshi Nakata continues his journey through all 47 prefectures. “NIHONMONO” is a coined term combining Japan’s “authentic” treasures encountered on his travels and the “makers” behind them.

FM radio station J-WAVE’s “VOICE FROM NIHONMONO,” in which Nakata served as a conduit to share “NIHONMONO,” continued for about five years and was loved by many, but regrettably ended in March 2024. In response to the many voices hoping for its return, it has been renamed “NIHONMONO: Hidetoshi Nakata’s Journey to Discover Japan’s Authentic Treasures,” and a new distribution will begin on Amazon Audible starting Friday, November 8.

In this program, Nakata shares the “NIHONMONO” he encounters on his travels in around six episodes per prefecture. After the travel series concludes, you will also receive special recorded episodes newly launched this time, “NIHONMONO: The Future Map of Food and Agriculture,” featuring exclusive discussions with specialists in agriculture.
