SSU members are also participating as RockCorps volunteers!
Hello, this is Sunny-chan from PR! Now that we are in August and the heat is really setting in, is everyone doing okay and not suffering from summer fatigue?!
Now then, we have introduced SUNNY SIDE UP’s unique programs so far, including “32 Benefits”, and the other day we used this program and joined RockCorps as volunteers with SSU members!
“Social Activity Support” Program
A program designed to support employees who turn their attention to various global issues and strive to help solve them. Up to five days of “Social Activity Leave” can be taken per year. It is also promised that the experience will be shared company-wide.
SUNNY SIDE UP members participated in “cleaning and weeding at temporary housing” in Fukushima City!
We split up with other participants to do the weeding. Everyone is serious!
We cleaned with all our effort, hoping even a little that residents could spend their time more comfortably!
Among the participating members were some who had recently joined SUNNY SIDE UP, and they said that this RockCorps volunteer activity was their first time visiting Fukushima. They told us it was a very valuable experience to see it with their own eyes and hear directly from local residents. Not only the project members, but other members as well are participating in RockCorps in ways they can!
As stated, “a program designed to support employees who turn their attention to various global issues and strive to help solve them,” we hope that through the Social Activity Support Program, each SSU member will continue to take an interest in social issues and challenges and value a proactive attitude toward addressing them!!
By the way, after four hours of volunteering, we received tickets to the celebration (live event) on September 3!
There is less than one month to go until the celebration (live event) for “RockCorps supported by JT 2016” on Saturday, September 3!
Volunteer activities are still taking place in various locations! We hope to see you all on September 3!
