In addition, the facility is equipped with a competitive prosthetic leg development laboratory and a running station (with showers and locker rooms accessible by wheelchair), making it a facility that people with disabilities can use with confidence.%e5%86%99%e7%9c%9f%e2%91%a1-2-%e3%83%ad%e3%83%83%e3%82%ab%e3%83%bc %e5%86%99%e7%9c%9f%e2%91%a1-3-%e3%82%b7%e3%83%a3%e3%83%af%e3%83%bc%e3%83%ab%e3%83%bc%e3%83%a0
The facility’s greatest feature is its extensive equipment for para-athletes. It houses a laboratory of Xiborg, a company led by CEO Ken Endo, who researches and develops competitive prosthetic legs. The track and laboratory are adjacent and separated by glass, enabling on-site research and development through constant prosthetic adjustments and synchronized movement data analysis.%e5%86%99%e7%9c%9f%e2%91%a2xiborg
Furthermore, the facility aims to promote not only athletics but also cultural programs. It serves as the activity base for “SLOW MOVEMENT,” an art performance group composed of people with and without disabilities, led by Rai Kurisu, representative of SLOW LABEL, who served as stage advisor for the handover ceremony at the closing of the 2016 Rio Paralympics. The facility will also be used as a venue for training and nurturing performers who will participate in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympics and Paralympics.%e5%86%99%e7%9c%9f%e2%91%a3%e3%82%b9%e3%83%ad%e3%83%bc%e3%83%ac%e3%83%bc%e3%83%99%e3%83%ab
In addition, the facility serves as a practice base for the running school (TRAC) operated by Samurai Inc., where Director Tamesue serves as CEO, and regularly hosts 50-meter measurement sessions and prosthetic leg experience events.%e5%86%99%e7%9c%9f%e2%91%a4%e3%81%8b%e3%81%91%e3%81%a3%e3%81%93%e3%82%b9%e3%82%af%e3%83%bc%e3%83%ab%e5%86%99%e7%9c%9f%e2%91%a4%e7%be%a9%e8%b6%b3%e4%bd%93%e9%a8%93%e4%bc%9aThe facility operates under the concept “For everyone—the joy of running, moving your body, and expressing yourself!” offering experiential opportunities for people with and without disabilities alike.

The facility was created with the aim of building a universal community and lifestyle that embraces diversity.

As numerous facilities are being developed in preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, this facility aims to become a cutting-edge space where Olympic and Paralympic athletes train together, local children and running enthusiasts gather, and a community is nurtured.

Moving forward, we will continue to support the realization of all possibilities at this facility, working alongside Director Tamesue and others to “create the landscape of the future.”
