Meet the young members who will carry on the SUNNY SIDE UP spirit! We are pleased to introduce our new graduate hires for FY2017!

April is here—cherry blossoms in full bloom, and hearts racing with new encounters and new lives!
At SUNNY SIDE UP, too, we kicked off April full of energy with words from President Tsugihara: “In this season when a new life begins in April, let’s remember that fresh feeling everyone once had, and let’s do our best so we can keep shining—without losing to our new employees!”
And starting today, 11 new graduate hires have joined us as new teammates!
In past years, the entrance ceremony traditionally meant everyone wore recruit suits, but this year, at President Tsugihara’s request, we set a dress code: “the outfit you think looks the coolest on you!”
We were excited to see what everyone would wear, and as expected, some came in suits while others expressed their “true selves” in everyday outfits—individuality is already shining through! (Laughs)
Some even chose a theme—such as “a refreshing breeze” or “cherry blossoms dancing”—and put together outfits inspired by the season.
Today’s assignment for our new employees is the entrance ceremony.
The president presented each person with their appointment letter and a commemorative gift. Every year, we give fountain pens as a gift, with the hope that, as a PR company that delivers news and works with communication, they will cherish words.
Then, the new employees each shared a brief statement of determination to the executives!
We would like to share everyone’s statements, but what stood out in particular was:
“I will make a point of enjoying both work and my new life, of always questioning things and thinking deeply—something essential in the PR industry—and of never forgetting to have fun
These were memorable statements of determination that felt very much like SUNNY SIDE UP, whose slogan is “Let’s Have Fun!”
It will be exciting to see how they grow as members of SUNNY SIDE UP from here on!
Finally, President Tsugihara shared a message for these young members who will carry on the SUNNY SIDE UP spirit.
“Now that you are entering the working world, the ability to learn is important, but it will increasingly come down to your strength as a person. At SUNNY SIDE UP, whose slogan is ‘Let’s Have Fun!,’ I hope you will discover your own sense of what ‘fun’ means. And I hope that, within the moments when you can look back and think, ‘Life was fun,’
