Our “eggs” made their pledges!? A new story begins at the SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP 2027 Job Offer Ceremony

Hello, everyone! This is Tanaka from the Human Resources General Affairs Department at SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP.

After 37 straight days of rain, Thursday, October 1, 2026, brought a crisp, clear autumn sky. At our head office in Sendagaya, Shibuya, Tokyo, we held SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP’s 2027 job offer ceremony!

This year’s theme for the job offer ceremony was “CINEMA — The Curtain Rises on a Second Life —.”

Starting today is a new story, with each new hire as the main character. Even with different assignments, the teammates who will weave the best story together are all here.

The days ahead may bring dramatic twists and unexpected drama. Even so, in every scene, we will be one another’s bridge and, as the best team, spark some “fun commotion” together. With that in mind, we created the excitement of watching the opening of a classic film in a movie theater.

In this article, we will share a report on the day, wrapped in energy and smiles!

A look back at the day 🍳

In the morning, the new hires gathered at the Sendagaya office for a “self-introduction workshop”! While projecting their “PROFILE sheets” on the screen, each person shared stories from childhood through their student years, as well as what “switches on” their motivation.

Although the new hires’ expressions were a mix of nerves and anticipation, their presentations overflowed with individuality. Warm applause and smiles filled the venue again and again, and the tension gradually eased.

At lunchtime, after the self-introductions helped everyone relax, we kicked off a “networking lunch” with executives and senior members as well!

Prepared with the hope that everyone could feel even a little more relaxed as they headed into the ceremony, the spread included elegant catering and drinks. Gathering around a buffet of delicious food, everyone enjoyed lively conversation in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The Unofficial Offer Letter Presentation Ceremony

With everyone happily full, it was finally time for the job offer certificate presentation ceremony to begin.

During the greetings from each company, we first heard a message from Xiqiao Liu, President Representative Director of SUNNY SIDE UP Inc., followed by warm words from Aya Ishikawa, Director of steady study Ltd.

In the “job offer certificate presentation” that followed, Etsuko Tsugihara, President Representative Director of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Inc., personally handed each certificate with heartfelt words of welcome—an unforgettable sight, marked by proud smiles.

And the highlight of the ceremony was the new hires’ “pledge announcements”!

Rather than the company simply presenting certificates, a representative of the new hires delivered a powerful statement of determination to join the company, along with their pledges (a bold declaration).

Tsugihara shared this message: “After our business integration with Akatsuki Inc., an entertainment company, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP is preparing to make a fresh start. Keep sharpening what you do best, and rely on your teammates for what you do not. As the best team, let’s create a new era of ‘fun commotion’ together!”

Clearing away worries and uncertainty! A “roundtable” with young senior employees

After the ceremony, we held a “roundtable” with young senior members, including employees in their first to third years.

From young employees who joined as new graduates to senior members who joined mid-career, participants with diverse backgrounds sat at separate tables. Every table was buzzing with conversation about concrete first-year responsibilities and how they actually get involved in real projects.

The new hires asked not only work-related questions such as “What should we do before joining?”, but also everyday-life questions like “Recommended places and areas to live in Tokyo” and “What are realistic rent prices?”

We truly hope this helped everyone picture life after joining the company more clearly…!

Closing the day and capturing the emotion: a “premiere screening”

To wrap up the day, we also held a surprise program that even the new hires did not see coming.

From the tense expressions at morning check-in to the smile-filled lunch, the ceremony, and the roundtable, the production team edited behind-the-scenes footage on the spot! We then held a “premiere screening” as an ending video to look back on the day.

When the big screen showed everyone’s moments from the day, the venue erupted in cheers and applause.

We plan to share this video exclusively with the new hires at a later date. We would be delighted if it also becomes an opportunity for their families to get to know SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP.
