Introducing the Latest Happy Kuji ‘DISNEY Christmas Ornament Kuji 2022,’ Now in Its 9th Year and Releasing on November 12!
Hello. With ‘Happy Kuji’ making its fourth appearance on SUNNY DAYS, we hope it is becoming a familiar name to everyone.
Today, we would like to introduce the ‘DISNEY Christmas Ornament Kuji 2022,’ which marks its 9th year and will be released on Saturday, November 12.
This year’s theme is inspired by “Joy to the World,” featuring Disney and Pixar characters enjoying a Christmas night of singing and dancing.
We begin brainstorming the concept once things settle down after the New Year. Since this is our 9th year, coming up with a unique Christmas concept every year is the most challenging part. After spending a full year producing the ‘DISNEY Christmas Ornament Kuji,’ I personally feel like my Christmas is already over now that the release date is finally here (laughs).
Next year will be our 10th anniversary, so I am already looking forward to developing an exciting concept worthy of such a milestone!
We took on two new challenges this year!
First, as part of our promotional efforts, we utilized FamilyMart Vision (FMV), the digital signage located above the registers at FamilyMart stores. The promotion ran for two weeks starting Tuesday, November 8, from 11:00 AM to 5:59 PM at FamilyMart locations in the Tokyo metropolitan area!
When producing the video, our top priority was to catch the eye of customers in-store. We placed great importance on casting voice actors who perfectly match the “Disney world view.”
Second, we released a standalone product, the ‘Gorgeous Minnie Mouse Plush,’ during the same period.

‘DISNEY Christmas Ornament Kuji 2022’ Product Introduction
This year’s lineup includes the Figure Ornament Prize (12 types), along with the new Plush Ornament Prize (6 types) and Acrylic Ornament Prize (6 types). Previously, the lottery focused primarily on figures, but we felt that using only figures to decorate a Christmas tree could look a bit sparse. Therefore, we added plush and acrylic ornaments to the lineup under the theme that the tree becomes more vibrant and complete when everything is collected. Naturally, the figures come with pedestals so they can be displayed on their own. The Plush Ornament Prize is designed so it can be displayed inside its box. Finally, the Last Prize features a Gorgeous Standing Mickey Mouse Plush, standing approximately 60 cm tall!
We also highly recommend the Complete Box and Pair Box, which allow you to collect character series all at once. The Pair Box is perfect for parent-child pairs or for those who want to further enjoy the world of each film. Anna, Elsa, and Olaf feature costumes recreated from the short film ‘Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.’ Additionally, Zootopia makes its first appearance in Happy Kuji.
The Acrylic Ornament Prize features a design where the inside sways, recreating the image of singing and dancing. In the Princess series, they are depicted dancing with their respective princes.
Furthermore, as a purchase bonus, customers who buy two tickets at once will receive a Christmas Postcard (6 types) as a gift!
