[On-site Report] “egg week” has started—a week to know the “current state of your body” and deepen your learning!
Hello! This is PR Sunny-chan 😶 Do you know what week it is this week…?
The answer is “egg week,” hosted by W society, a project to design women’s empowerment in which we at SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP also participate!
A week to learn about your body’s current state and deepen your knowledge = egg week campaign 🍳
We will learn about the “AMH test,” a blood test that provides an indication of the number of remaining eggs you have, which can help expand your options when considering your life plan! The campaign is named egg week 🥚 because eggs are called “egg” in English!
As SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP with our sunny-side up egg logo, we never miss topics related to “eggs”!
So we actually attended the press conference and free conference! 📷
■ Arrival at the venue! Part 1 is a press conference featuring judoka Uta Abe
The location is Aoyama Grand Hall…! Many reporters from TV, newspapers, magazines, and web media are here.。o○
Sunny-chan is also learning about “women’s bodies and society today” while maintaining social distance ( ..)φ📝
Sunny-chan has recently started to see topics like PMS and hormonal fluctuations in the news a little more, but there are still many things about discomfort and concerns that are difficult to discuss.。o○
The “AMH test,” a type of hormone test for women featured this time. It’s very intriguing that a simple blood test can provide an indication of the number of remaining eggs you have…👀!
We will learn together with doctors while watching a video of Uta Abe actually taking the test!

■ W society Ambassador Uta Abe takes the stage!
Uta Abe, who became a W society Ambassador in support of communicating “the importance of each woman facing their body and considering their life plan” while actively competing as a current athlete at the forefront. When asked how she has faced her own “body” throughout her competitive career,
“I think it’s very important to know your weak points, your strong points, and to know your current self. I feel that I am quite sensitive. Today I’m in great condition (laughs),” she answered with a smile✨
Please check out the official interview on eggweek.com for more details on Abe’s thoughts as one woman who faces her body every day.
➡“Meeting judo was a miracle” – A once-in-a-lifetime chemical reaction to the top of the world! We explore the appeal of Uta Abe as both a woman and an athlete
■ A message of support has even arrived from the Minister✉
A comment from Seiko Noda, Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Minister of State for Gender Equality!

Seiko Noda, Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Minister of State for Gender Equality
“Women’s bodies differ by age and vary from individual to individual, so the concerns and anxieties each person faces are diverse. It is a fundamental prerequisite for women’s empowerment and gender equality, and extremely important, that women can make decisions about their own bodies based on accurate information and their own will. Women’s lives are diverse. I hope this project will serve as an opportunity for women to take an interest in their own bodies and contribute to creating a society where they can choose how to live according to their hopes and demonstrate their abilities.”
We have great expectations for the future where companies, universities, and government work together!
■ Next! Part 2 is a public conference streamed live on YouTube
Model Mira Hasegawa, who continues to communicate as an opinion leader for the younger generation, and model Seina Shimabukuro, whose lifestyle resonates with many women, took the stage!
Dr. Rikichi Sugiyama from Sugiyama Obstetrics and Gynecology explained topics such as menstrual pain and birth control pills, while Dr. Yuka Okada from St. Luke’s International Hospital/Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology explained women’s specific health issues and infertility treatment. So much content about our bodies that we didn’t know before, that we’re glad to learn today, and that we want to share with friends and family…! If you watched it, please share your thoughts✨
■ Review: What is W society?
“Working,” “giving birth,” “balancing both”… Now that life plan options are expanding and diversifying, the answer that “woman empowerment” points to should not be just one. W society is a project born to aim for “a society where all women can build a fulfilling lifestyle with conviction,” designing women’s empowerment from both aspects of women’s physical and mental challenges (W=woman) × social challenges (society). The official Instagram also shares cute and easy-to-understand content for [learning] and [understanding], so please follow us 📱
