A Behind-the-Scenes Report on the steady study Showroom, Which Joined SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP in March!

Hello. This is PR Sunny-chan!

Today, I visited the steady study showroom, which became part of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP in March 2020, so I’m here to report on what I found!

steady study is an independent PR firm established in March 2000 by Mizuyo Kamide.

As a pioneer of the “Attaché de Presse” (PR and communications professionals specializing in the fashion industry) in Japan, the company has handled PR for numerous fashion and lifestyle brands, focusing on renowned names such as Saint Laurent, Dior Homme, Chloé, Moncler, and H&M.

With strengths in global networks and branding expertise, steady study has grown to become a top player in the field, particularly in fashion and apparel PR, with extensive experience and know-how in this domain!

steady study handles everything from planning and proposing PR strategies to their execution. I heard that samples entrusted to them are displayed in their Omotesando showroom, so I visited for the first time that day!

While I was still marveling at the elegant interior and pleasant fragrance at the reception area, I was greeted by Ms. Kawamura, who kindly offered to show me around the showroom. Thank you so much for having me!

The first place she showed me was the women’s showroom, where new women’s items were beautifully displayed.

This showroom is apparently a lively space with constant foot traffic, where sample selections and meetings take place when lending items to stylists for magazine and television shoots.

The bright, spacious area with shoes, clothing, jewelry, bags, and other items neatly arranged by brand felt just like a select shop. The wonderful atmosphere—so different from our office—inspired us to work harder! (laughs)

Next, I visited the men’s showroom on a different floor.

In contrast to the vibrant women’s showroom, this space had a chic ambiance. A subtle scent reminiscent of men’s fragrance filled the air, and I was impressed by the attention to detail in creating the space.

Many men’s items, such as sneakers and leather shoes, were also on display.

At this time of year, many staff members are apparently on business trips to Milan and Paris to escort media representatives to this year’s fall/winter collections. Sunny-chan couldn’t help but whisper, “That’s so cool…” at the kind of work unique to a PR firm specializing in fashion and lifestyle.

The last place I visited was a meeting room with striking photographs on the walls.

In the back, casablanca lilies—steady study’s corporate flower—were arranged, filling the room with their lovely fragrance. The staff apparently tend to these flowers daily to keep them beautiful and prevent them from wilting.

From the fragrance suited to each room, to the flowers carefully tended every day, the staff’s demeanor and fashion, and even the way tea is served to guests—every detail is thoughtfully considered to create a refined space that embodies “steady study.”

Even during the short time I visited for this interview, I could truly feel that commitment!

Furthermore, regarding joining SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP, they shared: “We’re excited about the new future that will be made possible by expanding the range of proposals we can offer clients and strengthening our capabilities in the marketing domain!”

All members of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP are very much looking forward to the addition of steady study, which brings expertise in PR for fashion and lifestyle brands—an area previously absent from the group.

Please look forward to the future of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP and steady study as we evolve into a corporate group covering all domains of PR, branding, and marketing—a rare achievement in Japan!
