Get Your Nails or Beauty Treatment Done?! Introducing the “Onna Do-Up Program”!

Hello.
I’m Sunaga, in my third year since joining as a new graduate.

Today, I’d like to introduce SUNNY SIDE UP’s 32 Benefits program called the “Onna Do-Up Program.”

This is a wonderful program where a lottery is held at the monthly company-wide morning assembly, and the selected employees (two per month) can visit a nail salon or beauty salon.

Recently, far from improving my femininity, I’ve been steadily progressing toward becoming more like a middle-aged man. Whether aware of this concern or not… I won the nail salon lottery for the first time in my third year!
By the way, I had never been to a nail salon before. So here’s my report on my “first nail experience,” rather than “first errand.”

The partnered nail salon is “Deux Soleils,” owned by Michiko Matsushita, who is featured in beauty magazines. First, I made a reservation by phone and headed to the Daikanyama location.

Just as I’d heard, it was right by Daikanyama Station! On the second floor of “Sign Daikanyama.”
Before going to the salon, I decided to grab a bite… so I went to “Sigh.”

So cute! I got excited and took a photo!!!
And of course, it tasted delicious too!!! Pure bliss! Just this alone made me feel like my femininity increased (or so I think)!!

Now, with my stomach satisfied, I headed to the nail salon on the second floor.

A beautiful woman greeted me. First, I selected my preferred design from the many samples available. When asked what kind of design I wanted, I couldn’t explain it specifically, so this system was perfect for a beginner like me.

Based on this design, I consulted with the staff and together we chose colors perfect for the upcoming season. Since we’re right in the middle of the seasonal transition with hot and cold days, we went with colors that would work for both… and decided on a combination of light purple and gold.

So many!

During the treatment, I enjoyed a pleasant massage in the massage chair…
While chatting with the salon staff about nearby shops…
(Apparently, “Sarabeth’s,” famous for eggs benedict, is nearby too. I’ll have to go next time!)

Before I knew it, it was complete! Here it is!! Ta-da!

My memorable first nails!! I was so happy and excited that I bragged to my parents back home. LOL

Starting tomorrow, I feel like I can tackle work with 30% more femininity!!
I wonder if I’ll win again next month… LOL
