The Year of the Boar means charging ahead! A surprise appearance by “that person” with the burning fighting spirit on the first day of work!

Happy New Year, everyone! This is O from the Public Relations Group.

Many of you are probably starting work today.
Our company also begins work today, Monday, January 7. Every year on the first day of work, we invite guests related to that year’s zodiac sign (Year of the Sheep: a real sheep, Year of the Rooster: Dachou Club, Year of the Dog: employees’ pet dogs, etc.).

2019 is the Year of the Boar! Here’s a look at this year’s first day of work.

When it comes to “boar,” there’s only one person with the burning fighting spirit!

Our company designated the four weekdays from Tuesday, December 25 to Friday, December 28, 2018, as days to encourage the use of paid leave, implementing “Premium Holiday” which allowed employees to take up to 16 consecutive days off during the year-end and New Year period. Ahead of the mandatory paid leave requirement starting in April this year, our company—an advertising and PR industry firm often associated with being busy—took the lead in promoting “work-style reform for taking time off.” The entire company worked together to enhance the quality of work, making the current “work-style reform” even more valuable.

On the first day of work after “Premium Holiday,” we invited that person whose name includes “boar” to help shake off the New Year’s daze and charge ahead with work!

“Fighting spirit injection” blows away the New Year’s daze!?

The first day of work began with a morning assembly where approximately 200 employees from the company and its group companies gathered for the first time in the new year.
Suddenly, the familiar theme song “Burning Fighting Spirit” began playing, causing a stir in the office. Just when everyone thought “the real person” might appear, Antoki no Inoki made a dashing entrance! With the call “Are you energized!?”, the office was enveloped in laughter.

The signature “fighting spirit injection” started with junior employees. The selection gradually moved up from junior to mid-level staff, then to department heads, and finally, President and CEO Tsugihara took on the fighting spirit injection challenge. With the call “Here we go!”, the fighting spirit was injected, and the office resounded with laughter and applause.

SUNNY SIDE UP will charge ahead this year! With this “fighting spirit injection,” we will continue to deliver “fun excitement” to the world. Please look forward to our “fun excitement” in 2019!

Finally, let’s all say it together! 1, 2, SUNNY SIDE UP, go!
