Series: Gen Z Trend Survey! – Following in the Footsteps of PR Agency Members (T-shirt Edition)
Is it hot? Is it cold? Hello!
I am Iguchi, and I am determined to successfully transition my wardrobe for the season this year.🍃
What kind of things, people, and events do PR professionals—who are exposed to various fads and trends daily—pay attention to? Once again, we bring you the “real voices” of our unique members!
In the previous installment, Lifestyle Edition, we summarized the latest trends emerging from Gen Z members working at PR agencies, covering topics such as clothing, music, manga, and sweets.
This time, it is the T-shirt Edition! While members often dress sharply for client and media visits or events, they can frequently be seen working in more casual attire on desk-work days. We will be following the fashionistas who have recently been increasing in number around the office.(`・ω-´)b
Food-themed Virtual Art College T-shirt
First, we start with myself, a lover of all things pop and artistic. (lol) Whether it is hot or cold, stone-roasted sweet potatoes are something I crave uncontrollably. 🍠 For those who feel the same, let me show you! Welcome to OIMO UNIVERSITY!
This is my absolute favorite T-shirt from “CIDER PRODUCTS,” a D2C brand managed by Wise Integration! It is an art college T-shirt project by Kaseki Cider, representing a virtual university for food. Enjoy wearing your food. It is the perfect “battle gear” for when you are serious about your meal.
In fact, a new collection featuring artwork by Kaseki Cider is released every month.🥢
The “Never Give Up” shirt, a play on words between Natto and “Never” (short sleeves and kids’ sizes have also been confirmed for the next release! 👀)
From the Cthulhu tee, an homage to the shirt Kurt Cobain famously wore, to many others, new art fashion collections are scheduled to be released one after another.👕
Sesame Salt Rice Ball T-shirt
I spotted an onigiri (?) T-shirt from graniph, a brand originating in Shimokitazawa that develops unique graphic T-shirts and goods! “It’s a Gomashio (sesame salt) panda. 🐼 It’s one of my favorites from graniph! It even has embroidery,” explained Mr. T with clear eyes as I snapped a photo of his back.📸
Two slices of pickled radish and sesame salt rice balls placed on a bamboo leaf. At first glance, it looks like a classic bento, but it is actually a rice ball with a panda mixed in. It is a charming and impactful design with a touch of the surreal.
The embroidery of the Gomashio panda is so precious…! Since SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP is a unique office where we can eat onigiri every day, our love for rice balls grows stronger by the day.🍙
The Royal Signboard T-shirt: May It Rotate Forever
Finally, I snapped a photo of Mr. M, who told me with a satisfied look, “It’s a limited edition item now, but it’s a collaboration T-shirt between POPEYE and Royal Host. ✌️ The hoodies and tote bags are also available and super stylish, right?”
I want it to keep rotating by the roadside until the very last day of the world. This T-shirt features a print on the back expressing a passionate wish for the Royal Host signboard. In fact, it is a special item commemorating the release of Sakiko Hirano’s book “Aji na Mise: Complete Edition,” a special POPEYE edit. The backstory is also wonderful: the collaboration was realized under the supervision of Sakiko Hirano, who loves Royal Host so much that she uses it for meetings, writing manuscripts, thinking, taking shelter from the rain, and killing time. .o○

That is all from the field! 🎤
Looking back, perhaps because I was hungry, the designs were all very “foodie”! (lol)
