◾️New hub for creating and experiencing new Harajuku cultures
Harajuku has been known for its creation of various cultures and trends. Harakado, newly opened in the area aims to provide a space for the creation and experience of new Harajuku cultures.
With 75 diverse stores spanning from the basement floor to the rooftop terrace, Harakado offers many opportunities for new encounters and experiences.
Harakado aims to be more than just a shopping complex but instead as a “creation facility.” They’ve introduced three new experiential media platforms focused on nurturing creators, supporting them, and fostering collaboration, as well as maximizing the value of real experiences. So, what kind of content are they offering? Let’s find out.💡
◾️7F Rooftop Terrace
On the 7th floor rooftop terrace, a garden space is complemented by a pop-up space that offers food and beverages, creating opportunities for collaboration events with various companies and brands.
You can also enjoy the views of Tokyu Plaza Omotesando “Omokado” across the Jingumae intersection👀
◾️5F・6F HARAJUKU KITCHEN & TERRACE
5F・6F has a variety of unique dining experiences.
On the 5th floor, you’ll find “PRETTY PORK FACTORY & KATSU PRETTY PORK,” where you can try premium pork selected from over 150 varieties, produced by “Tokyo Niku Shabuya.” Additionally, there’s “SHIKIN HANTEN,” a longstanding Chinese restaurant in Harajuku established in 1966. The floor also hosts cozy izakayas with an alley-like atmosphere and dining spots perfect for visits.
On the 6th floor, you’ll find a variety of cuisines, including authentic Napoli pizza, Mexican grill using avocados, falafel, Bánh mì, and Italian gelato. These diverse dining options are connected with the 7th-floor rooftop terrace, allowing you to enjoy your dining al fresco by taking it up to the rooftop.🍽️
There are plenty of natural spaces where you can enjoy your takeout food🍃
Whether you prefer enjoying your meal at a relaxed pace with a small group or sharing food and drinks with a larger crowd, you can spend your time just the way you like.
◾️4F Harappa
The 4th floor is aimed to provide a borderless experience of new entertainment for everyone, regardless of their nationality, gender, or age.
The entire floor is named “Harappa,” featuring projects centered around the themes of “Nature & Chillout” and “Experience in Harajuku .” Here, you can immerse yourself in various installations evoking nature and sustainability, including one that resembles a cozy campfire setting.
In the center of the floor is a large red installation called the “Bonfire of the Sun.”
This piece represents the sun, which illuminates the earth, nurtures greenery, and generates energy for our lives. Sitting around it gives a warm and comforting feeling.
Even in the heart of the city, you can relax and unwind in the spacious area of about 312 square meters. 🌱
◾️3F Creators’ Platform
The 3rd floor of “Harakado” serves as the main area for cultural creation and sharing as the “platform for creators”. Many creators and companies set up shops and offices here.
The membership exclusive creative lounge “BABY THE COFFEE BREW CLUB” offers a theater and pop-up space, allowing social meetings among other creators that may spark the creation and sharing of unexpected cultures.
On the 3rd floor, besides the previously mentioned areas, there are exciting spaces like “STUDIO SUPER CHEESE,” where you can enjoy standing bar in shooting studio, “STEAM STUDIO,” specializing in social creativity, and “J-WAVE ARRTSIDE CAST,” a podcast studio operated by the radio station J-WAVE with an unique combination of art gallery. These offerings create an exciting floor lineup unlike traditional commercial facilities.
There are also areas where anyone can enjoy taking photos, so come stop by during your shopping trip for some extra fun?👀
◾️B1F〜2F Collaboration with partner companies
On the B1F to 2F, you’ll find unique shops at “Harakado” that are all about enjoyment.

There’s a member exclusive bar called “CASBA,” along with creator collab apparel brands. Some examples are craft chocolate shop from Hiroshima, and a circular flower shop that uses leftover flowers into new items for sale.
Additionally, on the B1F, you’ll find “Kosugiyu,” a well-established public bathhouse from Koenji, now open as “KOSUGIYU HARAJUKU” right in front of the Jingumae intersection.
