Have you ever heard of the Global Goals Week, which is held every September?
The week including September 25th, when the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) were adopted at the UN General Assembly in 2015, is designated as “SDGs Week (Global Goals Week)”, an event held around the world to promote awareness and behavior change related to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
In conjunction with the 2021 Global Goals Week, from September 17, 2021to September 26, 2021, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP has decided to launch GO GREEN PROJECT as an initiative to raise awareness of the SDGs among all its members!
GO GREEN PROJECT is a project to encourage companies and people to promote sustainability. As the first initiative of the project, we have announced a “8 Actions” of sustainability promotion activities that are being implemented at our head office. Each action is summarized as a pictogram, which is available for free on our website so that other companies can also make use of it.

Use of environmentally friendly dish soap

Smile Keepers Introduce! A big kitchen in the middle of the office! What is the whole picture of SUNNY SIDE UP Group’s renewed office?
There is a sink in the central kitchen that everyone uses to wash their own cups and plates after lunch or at the end of the workday. Since we use so much dish soap in a day, we changed the soap to an eco-friendly one!
In our office, we use dish soap called the “ecover”, and those bottles are made of 100% recyclable plastic. By simply making eco-friendly choices in the items we use every day, we are indirectly helping to protect the environment.

SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP made original tumblers! This item is very useful as a personal bottle during daily work time.

[June 5 is World Environment Day] SSU Original Bottles and online magazine “SDGs MAGAZINE” is launched!
In recent years, the reduction of plastic waste has become a social issue for global environmental protection, and “My Bottle” has been one of the items that have been attracting attention around the world. Not only does it contribute to the elimination of plastic waste, but it also offers many advantages, such as discounts at stores and the use of bottles with heat and cold retention functions that allow you to enjoy a drink at a delicious temperature like you would at a café anytime! SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP offers tumblers with the office logo, and have become a favorite item of our members.
Share Umbrella
Many of you may have the experience that we had to buy umbrellas when it suddenly rains, and you realize that it is a waste of money to buy umbrellas that are already at home.
GO GREEN PROJECT provides “share umbrellas,” which are donated by people who have many umbrellas and can still be used. The umbrellas are marked as a “share umbrellas” and shared by everyone. Therefore,people can go outside without feeling bad when it suddenly rains. This is an eco-friendly initiative that is good for your wallet and the earth.
How was it? We have introduced three of the eco-friendly activities we are doing in our office, and we are planning many more “eco-friendly fun” in the GO GREEN PROJECT!
Achieving the SDGs goals cannot be accomplished by the activities of a single company alone. Through the GO GREEN PROJECT, we would like to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs beyond the borders of companies and promote activities to build a society where “no one is left behind”!
