EPARK Sports Project! The “ZONO Special Soccer School” was held as part of the Summer Vacation Parent-Child Sports Classes. Former Japan national team player Tsuyoshi Kitazawa will appear at the next soccer school!

Hello!
I’m Sunny-chan from the PR department, and with the rain continuing every day, I am earnestly wishing to see a clear, summery sky soon!
(I heard that the Kanto region has recorded 17 consecutive days of rain…)

Now, I would like to share news about energetic children who are not deterred by such rain!

EPARK Sports” is holding “Summer Vacation Parent-Child Sports Classes” that parents and children can enjoy together during the summer break.

We are conducting special projects for elementary and junior high school students (*) where famous athletes provide instruction as special coaches. (*Target ages vary depending on the class.)
The lineup of instructors for each class is magnificent! It includes a “Running Class” supervised by Dai Tamesue to learn tips for running fast, a “Soccer Class” by former Japan national team player Tsuyoshi Kitazawa, a “Sumo Class” taught by former Ozeki Kotooshu (Naruto-oyakata), and a “Baseball Class” taught by baseball legend Masa Yamamoto and legendary home run king Takeshi Yamasaki.

The first session,
“ZONO Special Soccer School,” featuring Masakiyo Maezono as a special coach, was held on Tuesday, August 15!

The school teaches the joy of soccer to children from the 1st to 6th grade of elementary school!

Despite the occasional heavy rain, as many as 46 children participated!

The school conducted basic practice using the ball, such as passing, dribbling, lifting, and one-on-ones. Finally, the participants were divided into teams to play games and experience the fun of soccer.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAMr. Maezono mentioned that “etiquette and greetings” are what he values most when teaching children.
Precisely because he wants them to learn various things in the limited time available, he conveys not only the fun and techniques of soccer but also,
“common courtesies” such as saying “Hello,” “Please,” and “Thank you” through the sport.

Mr. Maezono’s enthusiasm reached the children, and they stayed focused on each practice session while enjoying soccer!

Finally, mini-games were held for each grade level.

While watching the games as a coach, he would join in whenever the ball came his way!

Coach Maezono joined the action and interacted with the children whenever the ball was at his feet.

Since teams were formed with people meeting for the first time, the children were initially unable to speak up or move actively. However, as the mini-games progressed, they gradually began to communicate and call out to each other.

After the school ended, a group commemorative photo was taken, followed by two-shot photos with Mr. Maezono, which drew a long line!
Wow, that’s amazing…

Parents who were watching the children from outside the field also joined in for commemorative photos.

When it was time to leave, some children said “Thank you!” not only to the coach but also to me, which was quite moving!

Everyone has a great smile!

After the school, he commented, “You won’t improve with just this one session, but I believe it is important to continue practicing what you learned and felt during this school. I hope they continue while having fun.”

I would be happy if the experience at this school becomes a special memory for the children!

EPARK Sports “Summer Vacation Parent-Child Sports Classes” is also holding other sports classes for parents and children to
enjoy together.
Please take this opportunity during summer vacation to participate.♪
