Through everyday dishes, toward a future where everyone can live authentically. bills launches donation project for Pride Month!
Hello everyone! I’m Saito from SUNNY SIDE UP, handling PR for bills.
June is the international “Pride Month,” celebrating LGBTQ+ diversity and rights. While various events and initiatives take place around the world, a wonderful project has also launched at bills, the all-day dining restaurant from Sydney, Australia!
This time, we bring you an advance experience report of the Pride Month project beginning at bills Omotesando.
An everyday dish connecting to someone’s future. bills’ Pride Month project
For one month from June 1 to June 30, 2026, a special donation project will be conducted at bills Omotesando. During this period, all proceeds from “Avocado Toast” served at the location will be donated to certified NPO “ReBit.”

bills has always valued providing a space that accompanies the daily lives of all customers, based on restaurateur Bill Granger’s philosophy of “wanting to be a comfortable place where anyone can casually drop by.” For bills, where people of various ages, genders, nationalities, and lifestyles naturally come together, “respecting diversity” is not a special theme but everyday life itself. This project connects everyday dishes to someone’s future.
[Experience Report] The luxury of savoring “Avocado Toast” at bills Omotesando
I visited bills Omotesando ahead of time to experience bills’ Pride Month project!
bills Omotesando features an open space filled with abundant natural light that makes you forget the urban bustle. You can enjoy a leisurely dining experience accompanied by relaxing, pleasant background music. On the day I visited, comfortable light streamed into the restaurant, allowing me to spend a relaxed time. This atmosphere where you can unwind is one of bills’ charms.

I immediately ordered the target menu item, “Avocado Toast – Fresh Coriander and Lime.” One of the classic menu items served continuously since the first Sydney location in 1993, the “Avocado Toast” has now become a staple worldwide. According to The New York Times and The Washington Post, bills was reportedly the first restaurant on record to feature it on a menu.

The toast that arrived was generously topped with fresh avocado, creating a simple yet striking dish. With one bite, the rich depth of avocado spreads throughout your mouth along with the fresh aroma of coriander and the refreshing acidity of lime, making it light and enjoyable despite its substantial volume.
The menu also features a project-exclusive sticker limited to bills Omotesando, created for this initiative. Holding it in your hands, you can feel how much the entire restaurant values this effort.

What struck me while writing this report is how comfortable it feels to participate in the project naturally as an extension of everyday excitement—”Let’s go to bills because I want delicious avocado toast”—rather than forcing yourself to “go to support the cause.” Your own happy moment of “delicious” becomes the power to support someone’s future. You can experience this warm cycle firsthand.
Toward a society where everyone can choose their future. Introduction to donation recipient “ReBit”
“ReBit,” the donation recipient for this project, is a certified NPO working to realize “a society where LGBTQ+ individuals can choose their future as they are.”
Their efforts include promoting understanding through training for educational institutions, government agencies, and corporations, as well as developing educational materials. They also provide job search support seminars and career assistance, working to create environments where young people can choose their futures authentically. These initiatives go beyond mere awareness-raising and are recognized across various sectors as “practical support” that brings direct change to the lives of those involved.
bills resonates with ReBit’s “support that directly reaches the future” and will support their efforts through this project.
What impressed me about this experience was the sense that regular dining time naturally connects to someone else, without doing anything special. Enjoying your favorite menu at your favorite restaurant. This is a bills-style initiative that exists as an extension of everyday life. This June, please enjoy a slightly more special dish in Omotesando.
We sincerely look forward to your visit!

[Project Overview] Implementation Period: Monday, June 1, 2026 – Tuesday, June 30, 2026 |
Additionally, SUNNY SIDE UP, a group company of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP which operates bills, is participating as a PA30 partner in “Pride Action 30,” a corporate alliance project demonstrating understanding and support for LGBTQ+ individuals, as part of the group’s actions.
Now in its third year with a circle of solidarity expanding to over 100 supporting companies, this project operates on the warm premise of “not condemning what isn’t being done yet, but providing opportunities for everyone to learn together,” calling for people to “start with what we can do” in daily life.
Together with bills’ project that allows participation as a natural extension of everyday life without forcing it, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP as a whole will continue taking concrete actions toward realizing a future where everyone can spend time comfortably as themselves.
