Hello, everyone! I’m Hisamitsu, the captain of the Golf Club.

SUNNY SIDE UP has handled PR and communication for golf tournaments such as the highly talked-about “Maezawa Cup,” but on the other hand, due to environmental changes such as restrictions on going out, the club’s activities had completely ceased in recent years.

However, we have now recruited members from a wide range of years and restarted the Golf Club! On a perfect golf day with refreshing early summer breezes, we bring you a report on what became an amazing day with our motto of “Enjoy the weekend to the fullest!” filled with laughter and unusual plays (?).

What are SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP’s “Club Activities”?

The “Club Activity Support” program is one of the unique employee benefits included in SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP’s “32 Benefits.” With the goal of promoting communication among members and enhancing group synergy, it supports the establishment and continuation of club activities that match members’ various hobbies and interests, regardless of whether they are outdoor or indoor activities.

However, as PR professionals, our mission extends to information dissemination. As demonstrated in this article, members of each club activity freely share their activities on SUNNY DAYS, our group’s owned media platform.

Main Activities of the Golf Club

We hold the “SUNNY SIDE UP Golf Competition” once a year. While the date and location vary from year to year, we keep the doors wide open so that many people can participate regardless of their years of service or golfing experience.

SSU Golf Club Finally Launches?!

On a certain day in May, the SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Golf Club restarted at Nippon Chokoku Golf Club!

The day featured perfect conditions with the blue skies characteristic of May. Forgetting the busyness of daily desk work, the members’ excitement reached its peak from the morning in the face of magnificent nature!

First, I, Hisamitsu, the club captain, gave the opening remarks. Since I was quite nervous about the opening shot, I entrusted the tee-off to a senior colleague in their 12th year at SUNNY SIDE UP, who started us off with a magnificent shot!

The appeal of the Golf Club is, above all, “connections that transcend departmental and hierarchical barriers.”

Even members who rarely get to talk thoroughly in the regular office were in high spirits in the cart! This is truly the real pleasure unique to Golf Club activities.

Despite the tension of being watched by other members, words of praise were flying around throughout the course.

There were excellent plays such as chip-in pars, as well as mishits that were drawn into the pond as if by suction, but even when mistakes were made, kind seniors would praise us (laughs).

There was also service (?) like holding a parasol like a dedicated caddy.

After finishing the first half, it was lunchtime!

While enjoying delicious food, we held what was supposed to be a review session of the first half, but it was mostly mutual praise (laughs). We fully recharged our energy and headed into the second half.

In the second half, pars were made in various places, but perhaps because we let our guard down after lunch, mistakes also occurred frequently… However, enjoying even that is what we, the Golf Club, do!

Wrapped in a pleasant sense of fatigue, whether members had good scores or disappointing results, everyone ended with the words “It was just so much fun!”

Moving our bodies to the fullest in nature and spending time in the best location provided the ultimate refreshment.

Even beginners who think “I want to try golf, but I don’t have an opportunity…” are very welcome! Just enjoy golf!

Look forward to our next activity.
