[A Break for #stayhome] Introducing the story behind our unique “32 Benefits”! What are the “Otoko-do Up” and “Onna-do Up” systems that boost our members’ charm?

Hello. I am Sunny-chan from Public Relations!

Many of you are currently doing your best while staying at home. To help you experience a bit of a “fun” mood during your remote work breaks, we would like to introduce some of SUNNY SIDE UP’s unique “32 Benefits“!

This time, we are introducing the “Otoko-do Up” (Boosting Manhood) and “Onna-do Up” (Boosting Womanhood) systems, where one person for each is selected by lottery at our monthly company-wide morning assembly!
*SUNNY SIDE UP promotes diversity and supports events such as LGBT initiatives. Members self-declare whether they wish to apply for the Otoko-do Up or Onna-do Up system.

Please note that to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are currently announcing winners via email instead of holding company-wide morning assemblies at the office.

■ The “Otoko-do Up” System

In this system, the member who wins the lottery at the monthly morning assembly can request their favorite meal and enjoy lunch with the President, whom they usually have little opportunity to speak with.

Everyone gets excited every month when the announcement is made at the morning assembly to see who the lucky (!?) member will be to go to lunch with the President. We recently followed a member who actually won, so here is the report! *Filming took place in mid-February.

The member announced as that month’s winner was Mr. W. Since his office is on a different floor from the President’s, he hadn’t had many chances to talk with her before. He agonized over what to request… and finally decided on “a lunch handmade by the President”!

Until now, most members had requested a nearby restaurant to go to for lunch. The President was surprised by this unexpected request but was very motivated, saying, “Sure! I wonder what I should make… ^^”

Then came the long-awaited day. It was time for lunch!

A wonderful aroma of spices drifted from the President’s office in the center of the office floor. Looking inside, the President could be seen busily preparing while wearing an apron.

The President prepared a “Keema Curry” packed with chicken for Mr. W!

The hearty menu included a sweet-flavored salad that pairs well with spicy curry, a yogurt drink, and even a chocolate cake for dessert.

She was even particular about the table setting…

The President’s handmade lunch is complete!!!

The call “Mr. W, welcome! Come on in!” echoed across the floor, and the exciting lunch with the President began.

“Itadakimasu! (Let’s eat!)”

The member was surprised by his first taste of the President’s cooking, exclaiming, “It’s delicious!” We are sure he wasn’t forced to say that… probably. (Laughs)

Outside the room, perhaps because it was such a rare sight, some hungry members were caught peeking in, thinking, “That looks delicious… I want some.”

The conversation then turned to the baseball gloves that Mr. W makes as a hobby. Surprisingly, Mr. W’s previous job was as a baseball glove craftsman! Having many members with experience in various industries like this, allowing them to share stories the other doesn’t know, may be a characteristic of SUNNY SIDE UP.

As the President held the glove Mr. W actually made and listened to his passion for glove-making and his dreams for the future, she was moved, saying, “I want to support you!”

In this way, they bonded over private topics that they usually don’t get to discuss… and the “Otoko-do Up” lunch ended after exceeding the scheduled one hour!

Reflecting on the lunch, Mr. W said, “Since it was a lunch with the President, with whom I usually have few chances to speak, I wanted to try something fun that would surprise her. That’s when I thought of the President’s home cooking. I suggested it because I thought we could enjoy the conversation more than at a restaurant! While eating the delicious curry she made, we talked about private matters and I was able to absorb many things I didn’t know before. I feel like I’ve managed to ‘boost my manhood’ just a little bit!”

And on this day, a mini-glove made by Mr. W was added to SUNNY SIDE UP’s fried egg goods collection! It’s so cute! (^^)

■ The “Onna-do Up” System

This system allows the lottery winner from the monthly morning assembly to receive a treatment at a beauty salon contracted by our company, so that they can live flexibly and beautifully as a member of SUNNY SIDE UP.

Ms. I, who recently won a one-month membership to the shampoo and blow-dry specialty salon “Jetset,” visited in the morning to groom herself on a day when she had many opportunities to meet new people for presentations. *Filming took place in early February.

In about 30 minutes, the shampoo and blow-dry were complete, leaving her hair smooth and silky! It looks like she’ll be able to spend the day feeling bright and confident.

After this, Ms. I became a fan of Jetset’s shampoo and blow-dry service and reportedly used it before meeting friends privately or on the mornings of important days.

With this system that seems to lead to a positive day by receiving treatments to become flexible and beautiful, Sunny-chan wants to win someday too… lol

What did you think? In addition to the two systems introduced this time, there are many other systems for working happily in your own way. Some of these systems were even devised by the members who actually use them.
