As we get more and more days with weather that feels like spring,
lately I find myself wanting to go outside for a walk.

What I would like to introduce to you is
a Sports Agency public-private partnership project that makes walking more fun, and fun things healthier:

It’s called the “FUN+WALK Project”!!!

On a warm day with a high of 22°C,
I decided to try putting this project into practice.

Today, I will share how it went♪

the final hurdle before dashing outside…

Choosing shoes. I struggle with it every morning.

Normally, I would choose the black high heels on the right for an office-appropriate look, but

I also chose a backpack so it would be easier to walk.
With some music on, it’s a morning in high spirits.

This morning’s song is Justin Timberlake’s “CAN’T STOP THE FEELING!”
(I really want to switch to Bluetooth earphones soon…)

I took a little detour to Sarutahiko Coffee on the 1st floor of Shinjuku LUMINE 1.

IMG_1567Normally my feet already hurt from high heels, so I head straight to the office, but
today I’m making a light-footed detour!!

IMG_1573Even the long, familiar straight road to the office feels different today—
it makes me want to skip along.

At our company, we have a benefit called the “Happiness Doesn’t Come to You by Walking” benefit,
where you can receive both better health and a reward of “¥3,200” just by averaging 10,000 steps per month.

As soon as I arrived at the office, I checked today’s results in the app!

I would like to increase my sneaker days a bit and achieve it.

What I felt after trying the FUN+WALK Project was this:
your morning commute is also important exercise—and time to refresh!

Usually, it feels like the same routine every morning, but
today somehow felt like a different kind of morning.

For example,
“days with few visitors, when you can dress a bit more casually,”
or “days midweek when you want to refresh,”

why not find the right timing and give it a try?
Today, I took on the challenge in a fairly casual style, but

• Change only your shoes to sneakers
• Change only your bag to a backpack
• Switch to a suit with stretch

and so on—you can do it in a way that fits the occasion.

I plan to keep high heels at my desk and
continue commuting in sneakers!
