Internship Experience Report at Sydney PR Agency “SLING & STONE” [Office Introduction]
Hello!
I am Koyama from the Promotion Department.
This year marks my 11th year since joining SUNNY SIDE UP. (11 years already! Time flies!)
One of SUNNY SIDE UP’s “32 Benefits” is the “Looking Forward to Working with You” program, which grants 10 days of leave after 10 years of service. I have finally received my 10-day break!
“Since I have 10 days off, I want to have a special experience!”
With that in mind, I decided to use this as an opportunity to fulfill my long-held dream of working abroad, and I consulted with our President (affectionately known as “Medamayaki Shacho”).
As a result, I was granted a 10-day internship at “SLING & STONE,” a PR agency headquartered in Sydney, Australia, which is part of SUNNY SIDE UP’s global network!!
I will now report on a typical day in my life as an intern at SLING & STONE!
First, the office introduction!
The SLING & STONE office is located on the first floor of this building.

In addition to SLING & STONE, this building houses design firms and fashion brand press rooms, so everyone coming and going is very stylish!
This is what the entrance looks like.

Upon entering, you are first greeted by the many award trophies that SLING & STONE has won over the years!
They have won numerous awards not only in Australia but internationally as well!
Moving further inside, the office looks like this!

The office is a single open floor, providing a great sense of space!
Plus, it is incredibly stylish!!
Some employees even come to work with their pet dogs!
Moving toward the back of the office…
There is a free meeting space.
Everyone works freely wherever they like.
By the way, these box-like rooms are completely soundproof. Everyone uses them for meetings, when they want to focus on work, or when they need to make a phone call.
This is the conference room!
I am spending my 10-day internship in this wonderful office!
During my internship, the person in charge of looking after me is…
Palina, on the right side of this photo!
(Here we are with the Unagi Pie I brought as a souvenir from Japan. The Unagi Pie was a big hit with everyone at SLING & STONE!)
As you can see, Palina is not only stunningly beautiful but also an incredibly capable professional!
Thanks to Palina’s coordination and communication with everyone at SLING & STONE, I am able to gain a wealth of work experience here!
Thank you so much, Palina!!!
In the next blog post, I would like to share a report on the actual work I am doing at SLING & STONE!
