HELLO! This is SUNNY SIDE UP.

Nice to meet you.
I am Yamashita from the PR team at SUNNY SIDE UP.
Starting today, we will be launching the official SUNNY SIDE UP blog.

Thank you for your support!

For blog 2

SUNNY SIDE UP was founded in 1985, starting from a single room in a small apartment building.

“Let’s Have Fun!”

People who resonated with these words came together,
and our employees truly worked “single-mindedly,” as the company continued to grow.

SUNNY SIDE UP is often described as a company that manages athletes, including Hidetoshi Nakata, but in fact, our core business is communication, including PR (public relations).

SUNNY SIDE UP started as a PR agency, met many people, and the PR approaches born from those encounters came to be sought after by a wide range of people. As we responded to those expectations, I feel our business expanded.

For that reason, the employees involved have worked single-mindedly—cutting back on sleep—to deliver results beyond expectations and create positive change.

In addition to being overwhelmed by day-to-day work, we also had a policy—true to a PR agency—of “staying behind the scenes,”
so in fact, until now we have not shared much information about ourselves on social media such as blogs.

Even so, we have met many people who think of SUNNY SIDE UP as
“a company that seems like it will do something interesting.”

Through our work, we have been able to build the SUNNY SIDE UP brand…
It is a curious company.

I mentioned that we had not been sharing information on social media…
However, in fact, SUNNY SIDE UP began posting a staff diary (blog) on our website exactly 12 years ago, starting in 2002.
The first theme was “Watching the World Cup”.

Not now, when corporate blogs are commonplace…
We were blogging back when it had not caught on at all. (Laughs)

Below is an excerpt from that nostalgic first post.

At last, Japan’s first match against Belgium. In the end, I couldn’t get tickets, and I went to work thinking, “I guess there really is no God.”

We were going to watch it on TV at the office. But I was at Saitama Stadium, wearing a NAKATA7 national team jersey.

Apparently, a single extra ticket at the company was passed on to an employee thanks to Hide’s kindness. Of course it was a lottery, but I won at the last minute! In the seat next to me was Del Piero’s older brother. This will never happen again in my life!!

Now that corporate blogs are widespread, I think some people may feel that SUNNY SIDE UP starting a blog again is
“not very SUNNY SIDE UP.”

However, the other day I was surprised when a PR representative at a major company asked me,
“SUNNY SIDE UP is a management company, right?”
Is it possible that SUNNY SIDE UP is known, yet not truly known?
That question would not leave my mind.
What kind of company is SUNNY SIDE UP, and what do we do? What kind of employees do we have? What potential do we hold? There is so much we would like to share.

On this blog, we will share a variety of information about SUNNY SIDE UP, the industry, our employees, and more, so please look forward to it.

We would also be grateful if you could check back regularly.
Thank you for your continued support.
