~Here we are! Global Communication Div.!!~ “Let’s Have Fun!” Goes Beyond Borders! Introducing the Newly Established Global Communication Division

Nice to meet you! This is Fujioka from the Global Communication Division.
For those thinking, “Wait, SUNNY SIDE UP has a ‘Global Communication’ division?”
Actually, the Global Communication Division is a brand-new department established this year. A team of diverse members has come together with the mission of creating and sharing “Let’s Have Fun!” not only in Japan but around the world, particularly for global events held in Japan that attract worldwide attention.
The members of the Global Communication Division are not only English speakers but also curious individuals with strong personalities (laughs). We work together energetically every day, occasionally mixing in English. (Apparently, we’re called “the department of unique characters” within the company…)
Today, I’d like to introduce you to the work of the Global Communication Division (hereafter, GC Div.).

■Our Primary Mission: Joint Venture with GL events
In March 2018, SUNNY SIDE UP announced a joint venture with GL events, one of the world’s largest comprehensive event companies.

GL events is headquartered in Lyon, France, and since its founding in 1978, has built an extensive track record in planning, developing, constructing, and managing large-scale events around the world. As a “key player in major global events,” it is an unparalleled comprehensive event company.
Through this joint venture, our company can now provide one-stop services from global event production to PR. The GC Division was established to offer a full package of services for global projects, from development and management to PR!

■Japan’s Growing Global Attention
With the 2019 Rugby World Cup, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, and beyond 2020, inbound tourism continues to grow steadily, and the world’s attention on Japan is intensifying.
This major business opportunity extends far beyond a mere “sports festival.” Tokyo and Japan will become a “massive media platform” attracting global attention. Particularly during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, not only sports but also country houses (national pavilions) and global corporate pavilions will gather to showcase their respective countries and companies.

The GC Division has six members ready to take on the challenge of leveraging the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of the Olympics coming to our city for communication purposes. The team is evenly split between men and women, consisting of members ranging from new graduates to those with over 10 years at the company, as well as members with extensive overseas experience. It’s a department rich in diverse hobbies and personalities.
We look forward to meeting you in person in the future, and we hope you’re excited to see what kind of members will appear!

Now, the GC Division has officially launched with the goal of creating “Let’s Have Fun!” without borders. We will regularly introduce our work, so please stay tuned!

“FUN BUZZ” is now beyond the border!

Nice to meet you virtually! This is Yumiko FUJIOKA from Global Communication Division. Whoever thought, “Wait!? GLOBAL COMMUNICATION of SSU?” you are correct! Actually, this Div. was just born this summer. Our mission is to create a “FUN BUZZ” inside-outside of Japan where the global big events are going to be held in the coming years.

The members of Global Communication (GC) Div. are not only English speakers but are very curious and unique. *I’ve heard that we are called 【a group of “UNIQUE”】 inside of SSU. Let me make a quick introduction of ourselves.

■Our largest mission “Partnership with GL Events”
We, Sunny Side Up, announced the partnership with GL Events which is one of the largest event company on March 2018.

■Towards 2020 and beyond, Japan itself will become an enormous media
The huge business opportunity that 2020 represents goes far beyond a mere sports festival. 2020 will be the year when Japan becomes the center of attention: the entire nation will become an enormous medium for tourism-oriented countries as well as for global companies around the world. Outside of the field of sports, many countries and companies will come to Japan to set up country houses, pavilions and other establishments to promote their appeal, turning Japan, in a sense, into a showcase for the world.

The Olympic game is coming to our town!! And for me, this is a life time challenge to create new communication business! We, GC, are in 6. Each member has different background and we are all very excited to meet you in-person in the future.
