Actually, “ZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA” celebrated its first anniversary on Saturday, July 16th of this year 👏
To commemorate the first anniversary, it has been upgraded! Its name is now“ZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA powered by Shogakukan’s Encyclopedia NEO” Chapter Two / A Journey to Encounter New Creatures.
What exactly has been upgraded… What are these new creatures… As the media representative at the time, having visited ZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA over 100 times since the opening PR event exactly one year ago, I, Ikuta, conducted an undercover investigation!As the former representative, I will introduce everything without bias and without leaving anything out!

[NEW] The “Deep Sea Zone” Has Been Created, Replacing the Ant View Zone! Deep-Sea Creatures Have Joined!
ZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA had an “Ant View Zone” where you could encounter creatures from an ant’s perspective. This zone was particularly popular with children because creatures appear very large from the ant’s perspective, and you could encounter insects such as beetles and scarab beetles.
This popular spot, which media outlets such as TV always requested to feature, has evolved even further…!
Its name is the “Deep Sea Zone” 🦑

[NEW] ZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA Is the Only Place Where You Can See the Swimming Movements of the “Giant Squid,” the World’s Largest Invertebrate!
Squid are red, aren’t they~
In the Deep Sea Zone created with this upgrade, a massive giant squid appears with realistic movements.It was supervised by Professor Tsunemi Kubodera, who succeeded in filming a giant squid in the deep sea for the first time in the world.
The giant sperm whale, said to be the giant squid’s rival, and other deep-sea creatures also appear at realistic scale, so you can experience it as if you were aboard a deep-sea exploration vessel.
[NEW] The Animal Kingdom’s Idol, the “Giant Panda,” Makes Its Long-Awaited Debut!
Until now, you couldn’t encounter the stars and idols of the zoo atZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA. However, with this upgrade, the animal kingdom’s idol, the “Giant Panda,” makes its long-awaited debut! 🐼
At real zoos, beloved pandas such as Xiang Xiang, Xiao Xiao, and Lei Lei are extremely popular, but what kind of appearance will the pandas at ZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA greet us with? Their slightly aloof nature is also adorable, so please come visit them!

[NEW] The Goal Zone Has Transformed Into a More Photogenic Space!
The goal zone, where you can check the creatures you’ve recorded, has also been upgraded to be more photogenic! By the way, when recording on the stones, you can also learn about the animals’ ecology, so it might be useful for summer vacation research projects ✊
The life-sized animals are incredibly impressive!

[NEW] From 17:45 on Weekdays, Enjoy Night ZUKAN MUSEUM GINZA With a Drink in Hand 🍸
A slightly different way to enjoy it from daytime! For adults who want to have a drink after work or cool down from the heat of the city center in the evening, a night-only ticket(1,000 yen with one drink included)is now on sale ✨
The event period is from Monday, August 1st to Friday, September 30th [*From Saturday, August 6th to Tuesday, August 16th, regular operations will be in effect and Night Museum operations will not be available. Additionally, recording stones are not available during Night Museum hours]
You can now drink and stroll in a digitally recreated natural space in the heart of the city, Ginza! Drop by with friends, with colleagues for a Friday celebration, or for a moment with your partner. Please try this slightly different experience.
Just looking up at the night sky makes you feel relaxed~
The riverside with fireflies glowing like a planetarium is also a perfect spot to unwind~!
