Founded in 1945 as Pacific Chemical Industries, AMORE PACIFIC is a beauty company with a proud 77-year history.It is also the company that first developed cushion foundation, which is now a standard.

A major corporation that everyone in Korea knows! I had the chance to visit their huge 21-story headquarters building in front of Yongsan Station.

The area with the café and museum is open to the public. Directly connected to the station! It’s already spacious just here!

Looking up, you’ll see a ceiling filled with water.

You can create a foundation that matches your skin tone (cushion or liquid, dewy or matte). Engraving is also available. You can choose from three font types as well.

The water on the ceiling came from the rooftop garden. To think there’s a place like this at a company… the ultimate nap spot…

There was also an enormous employee cafeteria. The food is delicious, too. I’m fully remote by preference, but if there were a cafeteria like this, I think I’d go into the office fairly often.

A must-visit experience spot for cosmetics lovers, born in Seongsu-dong, Korea’s trend epicenter“AMORE Seongsu”

Next, I’d like to introduce Seongsu-dong (Seongsu-dong), an industrial district in Seoul. You might wonder why an industrial district, but it’s actually the most talked-about area at the forefront of trends in Korea right now!

If you’re thinking of traveling to Korea, I highly recommend “AMORE Seongsu” in Seongsu-dong (Seongsu-dong).

Located just a short walk from Seongsu Station on Subway Line 2,this place was renovated from what used to be an auto repair shop, so the building itself is interesting—but above all, you can try as many products as you like from every brand AMORE PACIFIC carries! It’s an irresistible spot for cosmetics lovers.

A coupon you’re guaranteed to receive when you go. You pretty much have to buy something.

You can try everything starting from cleansing. The window on the side is thoughtfully designed so that even if you go bare-faced, your face can’t be seen from outside.

You can create foundation and lipstick tailored to your skin! It’s apparently very popular, so booking early is recommended.

An incredible amount of cosmetics to try, from skincare to makeup! Items are arranged on shelves by brand/category, and the central display features new products, limited editions, and more.

When we visited, they were running a campaign where AMORE Seongsu staff proposed makeup looks using AMORE PACIFIC brands. (Apparently, the model in the photo is also a staff member!)

The sets being proposed here can be purchased together with a cute gift box.

I bought makeup looks from HERA and LANEIGE.
*The LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask was sold out, so I recreated it using my own item.

They were also hosting a POP-UP for AESTURA, a medi-beauty brand inherited from a pharmaceutical company.

It was selling extremely well at Olive Young and was sold out even at the headquarters, but personally, I recommend AESTURA’s pads, “A-Cica 365 Quick Mask Pad.” They’re not the wipe-off type—these are large and adhere extremely well, so they stay on even if you move around! I put one on my neck while doing my makeup.

After shopping, you receive samples, and separately, there are also samples you can choose based on your purchase amount. I end up choosing the pricier HERA or Sulwhasoo…
