Entertainment Japan can proudly present to the world! Enjoy “STAR ISLAND,” a next-generation fireworks entertainment experience!

The other day, the “next-generation fireworks entertainment” event “STAR ISLAND,”
which we previously introduced, was held at Odaiba Marine Park on Saturday, May 27!

As this was the first event, we had only been able to introduce it through concept images until now,
but we can finally show it to you!!

It turned out to be a truly wonderful and unprecedented new “next-generation fireworks entertainment” experience!

With the sea of Odaiba as a backdrop, fireworks inspired by spring, summer, autumn, and winter were launched, accompanied by lighting that draws you into a fantastical world, 3D sound, and performances unfolding in sync with the fireworks—truly a next-generation fireworks entertainment experience!

And the highlight of “STAR ISLAND”—the world’s first outdoor 3D sound and
music fireworks—was produced by Katsuyuki Seto, a member of our company!

You may find it hard to imagine a collaboration between 3D sound and fireworks, but more than 230 speakers were installed throughout the venue. In sync with the fireworks launches, sounds and music played alternately from the front, back, left, and right. The rhythms and beats emitted from the speakers synchronized beautifully with the fireworks, enveloping the entire venue.

Hoping to share even just a glimpse of the atmosphere, we also posted a video on Twitter.
However, the pulse at the moment the 3D sound and fireworks burst, and the vibrations of the rhythms coming from the speakers, were sensations you could only truly experience by being there at the venue!

And the lighting was wonderful as well!
Against the Rainbow Bridge and Odaiba’s beautiful night view, the fireworks and the fantastical lighting added color,
making it feel as though you were not in Japan!

In addition, combining fireworks—something Japan can proudly present to the world—with cutting-edge technology, performances originating in Japan greatly energized the venue!

Water performances and fire performances with LED gear, pole performances, and more set against the fireworks were breathtaking—so impressive it felt as though you had come to watch a full-scale show!

As this was the inaugural event, the SUNNY SIDE UP team was excited, while providing PR support,
wondering what kind of event it would become.
At the beginning, attendees were moved by the fireworks and cheered, but as the program progressed, they became captivated not only by the fireworks, but also by the world of spring, summer, autumn, and winter that STAR ISLAND expresses.

Even for me, the finale was so moving that there were moments when I was overwhelmed by emotion—it was a next-generation fireworks entertainment experience in which fireworks and entertainment were superbly fused!

“STAR ISLAND,” a “next-generation fireworks entertainment” experience created by Japan’s traditional fireworks and Japan’s outstanding creators and performers, has become entertainment that Japan can proudly present to the world!
