May 26 (Fri) is Premium Sports Friday at the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay Tokyo!

Are you familiar with the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay,
a popular running event held around the world?

As introduced in SUNNY SIDE UP’s announcements, SUNNY SIDE UP is
involved in the management of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay Tokyo,
which will be held for the first time in Japan on May 26 (Fri), as a member of the executive committee. Furthermore, our company, with its slogan “Let’s Have Fun!”, will also participate in the race!

The teams competing in this race are none other than:

Team led by President Tsugihara Team led by Vice President Watanabe—two teams in total!

The teams consist of a mix of SUNNY SIDE UP executives, group company executives, active members from various departments, and
new graduates who joined in April!

The team composition was designed to mix management, mid-level, and younger members who don’t often have the opportunity to interact, with the hope that running together as a team will deepen their unity and bonds!

As a company that has been involved in numerous sports scenes, we believe that participating as a unified team in this event will foster teamwork and allow members to apply the excitement and fulfillment gained from participation to their daily work!

For new graduates, being on the same team as the president and vice president may be nerve-wracking, but it’s a great opportunity to communicate with members from various departments, executives, and group companies, so we hope they’ll actively engage and deepen their bonds!

About the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay Tokyo
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay was first held in London in 2007 and has since gained popularity in major cities around the world, including Dubai, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney. It is a corporate relay-style running event! Each team consists of 10 members, with each runner covering 1 mile (1.6 km), for a total team distance of 10 miles (16 km) in relay format.
The Tokyo event, the eighth city worldwide, will bring together leading domestic companies and organizations in Marunouchi, the heart of Tokyo’s financial district, to compete for the title of “Tokyo’s Fastest Company.”

Additionally, the event date of May 26 (Fri) is the fourth Premium Friday!

SUNNY SIDE UP supports Premium Friday, which aims to finish work a little early on the last Friday of the month and spend the weekend meaningfully,
and has been actively implementing it since its launch in February.

May’s Premium Friday will be a “Premium Sports Friday,” where we enjoy sports. By participating in the race as a company, we provide an opportunity for our members to exercise with colleagues after work and spend a meaningful end of the month through
sports!

Participating members are steadily preparing for the 26th, including making T-shirts!
It’s a company-wide race participation, so in a way, it’s like a festival! (laughs)
