Introducing bills’ first-ever in-flight meal, available on ANA’s Honolulu route!

With summer-like weather continuing, it is the season that makes you want to travel!
This time, we will introduce a collaboration that will make your trip even more exciting.
bills, operated by SUNNY SIDE UP, has partnered with All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. (ANA) to launch bills’ first original in-flight meal in Economy Class on all ANA flights from Japan to Honolulu.

bills’ in-flight meals will be offered from Friday, May 24, when the Airbus A380 “FLYING HONU” begins service on ANA’s Honolulu route, with two menus rotated every three months.
This collaboration came about from the desire to offer bills’ long-loved dishes as in-flight meals on one of Japan’s leading airlines and bring happiness to many people.
Now, let us introduce the menu you have been curious about!
At the tasting event, we tried bills’ in-flight meal Pattern ①, which will be available starting Friday, May 24!
In-flight meal ①

Service period: Fri, May 24, 2019–Sat, Aug 31, 2019; Sun, Dec 1, 2019–Sat, Feb 29, 2020
■ Pork schnitzel – served with mashed potatoes, a poached egg, and parsley and caper butter
A special arrangement of the schnitzel that has been loved at bills for many years.
The hearty schnitzel is accompanied by parsley and caper butter, and topped with roasted lemon for a refreshing aroma. Break open the poached egg on the side and enjoy it together for an even richer flavor.
This menu makes full use of ANA’s in-flight meal expertise and know-how, drawing out each party’s strengths.
■ Jasmine tea smoked salmon, cucumber pickles, and edamame salad
It uses plenty of smoked salmon marinated in jasmine tea, which is also used in bills’ menu. A healthy, light dish that pairs perfectly with the main schnitzel.
■ Miso-marinated sautéed eggplant, and a salad of kale and lettuce, tomatoes, tofu
You can enjoy bills’ cuisine—often inspired by food cultures from Japan and around the world—even up in the sky.
The sautéed eggplant has a comforting sweetness from the miso and a distinctly Japanese flavor. It balanced very well with the refreshing tofu, and we finished it in no time.
This menu fully leverages ANA’s in-flight meal development techniques, such as marinades that bring out the maximum flavor of ingredients even at 35,000 ft.

Service period: Sun, Sep 1, 2019–Sat, Nov 30, 2019; Sun, Mar 1, 2020–Sun, May 31, 2020
■ Grilled chicken with coconut curry sauce – served with bok choy and rice
■ Roasted pumpkin & yogurt cream, toasted mixed seeds
■ Lemon-marinated shrimp, daikon and carrot pickles
Based on recipes by bills restaurateur Bill Granger, and enhanced with ANA’s in-flight meal technology and development techniques, we have created a menu that lets you enjoy global food trends—bills’ concept—even in the sky.
In addition, if you bring the mini card placed on the in-flight meal tray, you will receive one complimentary welcome drink of your choice per person at bills Waikiki.

Even after you arrive, you can relax in Hawaii and enjoy bills’ cuisine at your leisure (^_^)
Sunny-chan also tried this in-flight meal, and was impressed by how it tasted just like dining at bills!
