We Held a Tasting Event for “Miyazaki LFP,” Packed with the Charm of Miyazaki Prefecture! Our PR Team Reports on the Event and New Products!
Hello, everyone! I’m Masuga from the Social Relations Division.
Suddenly, when you think of food from Miyazaki Prefecture, what comes to mind?
Miyazaki Prefecture has many delicious ingredients, such as Miyazaki beef, fully ripened mangoes, and hyuganatsu citrus. While Miyazaki Prefecture has many wonderful specialty products, the prefectural government is actively leading the “Miyazaki LFP (Local Food Project)” initiative, which promotes collaboration among various businesses from production to processing and sales.
We introduced “Miyazaki LFP” in a previous article, so please take a look!
More Than Just Delicious! What Is “Miyazaki LFP,” Which Promotes the Regional Food Industry? We Also Introduce Recommended Miyazaki Gourmet Foods!
SUNNY SIDE UP supports these Miyazaki businesses and the prefectural government in public relations.
Recently, we held a new product launch and tasting event featuring “Miyazaki LFP” products to further spread awareness of Miyazaki Prefecture’s food initiatives. We report on the event, which was held as part of our PR activities!
First, We Introduce Recommended “Miyazaki LFP” Products That Were a Hit at the Tasting Event!
Exquisite Hot Pot Using Whey Effectively! “Perotto Tabereru Soup Nabe no Moto (Tomato Flavor)”
First, we introduce recommended “Miyazaki LFP” products that were served at the tasting event.

The first is a product that effectively uses whey, a component produced when making cheese. Whey accounts for approximately 70% of the total volume of raw milk as a byproduct when making cheese, but it has not been fully utilized.
To effectively use this whey, Aliment Milk Co., Ltd. developed “Perotto Tabereru Soup Nabe no Moto (Tomato Flavor)”!

The acidity of the tomato matches the mildness of the whey, creating a rich and delicious soup! The nutritious whey derived from milk provides a wonderful accent, and as the product name suggests, you can finish it in no time.

Bottled Product Full of Dried Shiitake Umami! “Mori no Bagna Cauda”

The consumption of traditional ingredients such as dried radish, miso, and dried shiitake mushrooms has been declining compared to the past. Dried shiitake mushrooms made over time in Miyazaki Prefecture are characterized by their firm texture and umami components. With the desire for more people to enjoy such dried shiitake mushrooms, “Mori no Bagna Cauda” was completed through participation in Miyazaki LFP.

In addition to dried shiitake mushrooms, “Mori no Bagna Cauda” uses traditional ingredients such as “wooden barrel soy sauce” and “fermented radish.” Because soy sauce and pickles are used, it is not only excellent on grilled meat or as a vegetable dip, but also pairs perfectly with rice.

We Dive Into the Miyazaki Gourmet Tasting Event!
At the tasting event, we had the pleasure of welcoming speakers from the Distribution and Products Division of the Miyazaki Prefecture Tokyo Office, the President of Aliment Milk Co., Ltd., and the Executive Managing Director of Okada Shoten Co., Ltd., who spoke about “zero food waste,” one of the most notable aspects of the LFP project, and the development of products that pass on “traditional ingredients” to the future.

We create opportunities for media members to deepen their understanding of Miyazaki LFP so they can become more interested in Miyazaki gourmet food.

Afterwards, we served delicious dishes using “Miyazaki LFP” products.

The soup and bagna cauda filled with fresh vegetables looked so delicious that you couldn’t help but want to sneak a taste!

In addition to the dishes, we also served desserts made with Miyazaki-produced hyuganatsu citrus and Miyazaki shochu. Guests enjoyed their fill of Miyazaki gourmet food.
Media members said, “It was a wonderful event where we could deepen our understanding of Miyazaki Prefecture’s food initiatives while enjoying delicious food!” The event was a great success.
In Closing
This time, we introduced recommended “Miyazaki LFP” products and the tasting event. We hope you have gained a deeper understanding of the thoughts behind each product and the PR strategies SUNNY SIDE UP usually implements.
By the way, with the feeling that delicious food should be shared with everyone, the Miyazaki Prefecture PR team members gave “donko” (log-grown dried shiitake mushrooms) purchased from Okada Shoten to the Smile Keepers as a souvenir, and it turned into such a wonderful dish!

Sweet and savory simmered shiitake mushrooms.

Everyone enjoyed it deliciously.
