Where is the best place to live? We asked PR professionals for their “recommended nearest stations”! | PR Agency Member Survey
Hello, everyone! I am Maeda from the Social Relations Department of the Public Relations Business Division.
The new fiscal year for SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP begins in July. June is, so to speak, the “end of the fiscal year.” At this time of year, when we look back on the past year and start new initiatives, many members consider moving for a fresh start! Focusing on that, we are bringing you a special edition of the “SUNNY DAYS” series, “Member Survey Results”!
Click here for the previous survey project article.
The question we asked our members this time was, “Please tell us your recommended nearest station!”
While remote work is a recognized way of working, it seems that quite a few members struggle to find a location that is easy to commute to or a town that suits their preferences. Also, since this is a gathering of PR professionals, there might be many highly trendy areas…!?
We hope this will be helpful for those considering joining SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP in the future!
Now, we will introduce the charms of the “recommended nearest stations” that were particularly popular among our members’ responses in a digest format. Please enjoy!
*From the perspective of personal information protection, this includes comments from members who previously used these as their nearest stations.
Toyoko Line / Gakugei-daigaku Station

The most popular choice in the member survey was Gakugei-daigaku Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line!
It offers excellent access to the city center, with a direct train to Kita-sando (one of the nearest stations to SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP), two express stops to Shibuya Station, and no transfers required to reach Ikebukuro Station!
Around the station, there are as many as six shopping streets, centered around the “Gakugei-daigaku West Exit Shopping Street” and “Gakugei-daigaku East Exit Shopping Street,” as well as “Gakudai Jujigai Shopping Street,” “Tokyu Shopping Corridor Association,” “Gakugei-daigaku Hondori Shopping Street,” and “Gakugei-daigaku Koen-dori Shoei-kai.” You certainly won’t have any trouble finding shops or restaurants! (laughs)
Additionally, there are many independently owned shops, stylish stores that provide new inspiration, and lively restaurants. Some responses even said, “You will definitely find a favorite shop.”
Furthermore, beyond the shopping streets lies a quiet residential area, providing a comfortable living environment. It is a spot highly recommended by members who want to spend their time in a relaxed manner.
On your days off, you can take a stroll around the neighborhood, eat delicious food, discover new things, and spend your time peacefully.
Member Feedback
“There are many delicious restaurants in the surrounding area that stay open late!”
“Many SUNNY members live nearby, so communication naturally arises with people I don’t usually interact with at work!”
Chuo Line / Nakano Station

Next is Nakano Station!
You can use a total of three lines—the JR Sobu Line, Chuo Line, and Tokyo Metro Tozai Line—and it takes only about 20 minutes to reach the office! Since it is just one stop from Shinjuku Station and offers a direct line to Tokyo Station, it is easy to travel or return to your hometown, making it an ideal place for those moving from rural areas.
On the north side of the station is the Nakano Sun Mall shopping street, which has a wide variety of shops, from daily necessities and general stores to ramen shops and bars. A short walk away is a large park (Nakano Central Park), and the charm lies in the coexistence of urban energy and the tranquility of a traditional downtown area.
By the way, the former SUNNY SIDE UP office was also located at Nakano Station! It is the birthplace of SUNNY! (laughs)
Member Feedback
”It is a comfortable town with several popular famous shops and a shopping street that retains a bit of a cute, old-fashioned atmosphere!”
“One of the attractions is that despite being close to the city center, the average rent is low, and the last train from the office is the latest, allowing me to drink until the very last minute after work.”
Keio Line / Hatagaya Station

Finally, a station where the number of users among members has surged in recent years!? Hatagaya Station on the Keio Line!
It is characterized by its proximity to the city center and excellent transportation convenience, being 4 minutes to Shinjuku, 8 minutes to Shibuya, and 13 minutes to Ikebukuro. In addition to trains, using buses or bicycles makes it easy to head to Yoyogi-uehara Station or Nakano Station, so living here might just make you more light-footed!?
Of course, the area around the station is also well-equipped, with a full lineup of izakayas, cafes, wine shops, interior design stores, and more, centered around the shopping street on the south side.
On days off or after work, you can enjoy the excitement of planning, thinking, “Where should I go next?” or “Let’s go to that place I’ve been curious about.”
Member Feedback
“There are so many delicious restaurants!”
“There is an incredible abundance of eateries, including cafes and natural wine bars! It’s reasonably calm, and apparently, there have been many celebrities around lately?”
“I think it’s a town that can satisfy anyone, regardless of whether they prioritize food, livability, convenience, or safety! There are many shops, and it’s fun just walking around.”
■ Impressions Summary
What did you all think…? This was Maeda, who intended to provide information to help with choosing a town but ended up being overcome by the urge to move!
In addition to the content introduced this time, many other responses were received from members in the survey, and we hope this helps you find the “nearest station” that is perfect for you.
Please look forward to future survey projects that gather unique responses from the members of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP!
