W society, a project in which the SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP participates, today released a special video titled “#Know Myself” to communicate the importance of women “Know Myself”!
What is “W society” that confronts issues surrounding women?
What is “W society”? It is a project to design “Well-living” for each and every woman from the perspective of both physical and mental challenges of women (W=woman) and social challenges (society). The project was launched in September last year with judoka Uta Abe, model Seina Shimabukuro, and model Mila Hasegawa as ambassadors. We, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP, are also participating in this project together with Roche Diagnostics K.K., Panasonic System Solutions Japan K.K., Unilever Japan Holdings, LLC, Mitsui Sumitomo Aioi Life Insurance Co.

Introducing the contents of the special video “#KnowMyselfe” released today
This special video, supervised by film director Kawase Naomi, features 21 women from various fields, including actor Suzuki Honami, sports traveler Fukuda Moeko, dancer BENA, entrepreneur Kawamura Makiko, and Miss Universe Director Hiroko Mima, in addition to the three W society ambassadors. The 21 women active in a variety of fields appeared on stage. Under the theme of “Know Myself, for ____,” each of the women talked about their thoughts and feelings while taking self-portraits, expressing the importance of facing “me at this very moment.” There is no script, but true words spun from the mouths of each of them, which is why each cut resonates with the heart.

Many of the performers were nervous about the atmosphere in the studio.
At first, some of them looked nervous, but as they talked about their thoughts and feelings, such as “What it means to know yourself” and “Why do you want to know yourself?” Their “personality” was captured beautifully in the video!
“The importance of facing oneself” was stressed by each performer with diverse messages and expressions.

Upcoming plans of W society
Starting with the release of this video, “W week”, a campaign to think about the state of women and society, will be held for four days from March 5 (Saturday) to March 8 (Tuesday), 2022, including International Women’s Day! These four days will be designated as “a day for the entire society to face, know, and learn about women,” and content related to women’s health care, careers, and other topics will be disseminated with an online conference at the core!
The free online conference will be held on March 5 and 6 , and will feature Reiko Shiota (President of Woman’s ways, a general incorporated association), Mila Hasegawa (model), and Moeko Fukuda (sports traveler) as speakers!
“Prepare, Start, Pregnancy Care”,“Let’s talk more about sex education for children” and “My vision of a ‘Well-Living’ future,” we will review women and society from a variety of perspectives, including careers, health care, and how to deal with children’s sexuality.
Under the themes of “Prepare, start, pregnancy care”, “Talk more about sex education with children”, and “My vision of a ‘Well-Living’ future”, we will discuss about women and society from a variety of perspectives, including careers, health care, and how to deal with sex education.
In addition, content from various media is scheduled for March 7 through March 8 !
