Exciting Preparations for the Ceremony
Every year, our members eagerly brainstorm ideas from early summer, wondering, “How should we welcome our future teammates this time?” This year’s job offer ceremony was decided to take place on the 7th floor of the Sendagaya office, newly renovated just last December!
This floor features a spacious free-address area with a vibrant neon sign of our slogan, “Let’s Have Fun,” creating a welcoming and lively atmosphere. It’s already become a favorite spot among our members!
Finally the day has come!
This year, we welcomed the largest group ever! As they started arriving at the office, seeing all their faces together made our excitement grow even more. While some entered with a bit of nervousness, they seemed to relax once they met their fellow newcomers, who they’ll be spending a lot of time with moving forward.
Before the ceremony began, it was time to fuel up! A lunch gathering was held, attended not only by the new members but also by senior colleagues and executives.
The casual atmosphere, with food and drinks in hand, was planned to help everyone relax and enjoy some light-hearted conversations before the formalities of the ceremony 🍽️.

Everyone looks equally happy with their meals!
With stomachs full and the atmosphere warmed up, the ceremony officially began.
First on the agenda: presentation of offer certificates and commemorative items.
【Offer Certificates Inspired by Employee ID Cards】
We created offer certificates modeled after the employee ID cards that every SSUG team member carries with them.
This year’s orientation ceremony was all about making our new hires feel welcomed and excited to join. Every program was carefully planned to convey this sense of “welcome” and to ensure they look forward to working with their peers, mentors, and the company.
The certificates were designed to resemble the official employee ID cards that are typically issued after joining in April. This design was chosen to express our heartfelt welcome and to make them feel like part of the SSUG family right away. To add a playful touch, elements unique to the 2025 graduating class were incorporated into the design, making it distinctively SSUG.
We also envisioned the certificates as a “switch” for the new hires, symbolizing their transition from students to professionals when they eventually replace it with their official ID cards.
The certificates were presented in the group’s special anniversary item, an original lanyard, created to celebrate SSUG’s upcoming 40th anniversary. This lanyard is a favorite among current team members, often used to hold ID cards or phones, adding a functional and stylish touch to their daily lives.
【SSUG Original Bottle】
This bottle was created as part of the “Sustainable Support Program”, one of the unique benefits under our “32 Benefits”
The high-performance stainless steel bottle “Revomax,” featuring SSUG’s signature eggs sunny side up and the nickname “Sunny (32)” as a jersey number, is an item used daily by our members to help reduce plastic waste.

This thoughtful item, reflecting our commitment, was presented by Etsuko Tsugihara, SSUG’s President, alongside the certificate of acceptance and commemorative gifts.

A mix of nervous expressions and a hint of relief…?
Once everyone received their items, greetings were delivered by representatives from each company:

The new members set to join us next April received heartfelt messages expressing excitement about creating social movements together in the future. They were also encouraged to make the most of this unique pre-employment time by gaining valuable experiences that will enrich their lives ahead.
The expression of the new hires was striking, as they were looking straight ahead and listening, conveying a sense of determination for what lies ahead.
Discussion session with senior members after the orientation ceremony
And then, finally, we moved on to the last program of the day.
A discussion session began with nine senior members, ranging from first-year new graduates, who are close in age to the new hires, to mid-career employees with varying careers. They shared candidly about everything from work to private matters. The seniors answered all questions about life at SSUG starting in April, including specific tasks and how to get involved with projects in the first year, giving their full effort in providing insights!
During the session, there was also a brief introduction time from the directors who came to observe the discussion. The session ended after surpassing the scheduled time.
The purpose of this discussion was to introduce the members who work at SSUG, clear up any confusion or questions they might have, and enhance the clarity of what life will be like after joining.
There was even a conversation about the areas and rent prices in Tokyo, as some were preparing for their new life in spring!

And with that, the long yet short day of the orientation ceremony came to an end.
From here on, each of them will spend their time until joining the company, and we look forward to creating a new era of “fun buzz” together in the spring.
Please look forward to the future success of our “eggs” (new hires)!🥚
