[SSU University Guest Lecture] “Learning About the Media World from Rikkyo Alumni” @ Rikkyo University
Hello everyone! This is Oku from the Account Planning Division ☺
The other day, Watanabe, Executive Vice President of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP, had the opportunity to speak as a guest lecturer at Rikkyo University. Today, I, Oku, who accompanied him to the lecture, will report on how it went!!

Lecture Title: Learning About the Media World from Rikkyo Alumni
This lecture was designed to allow students from both Rikkyo University’s Ikebukuro Campus and Niiza Campus to participate in person and online.
On the day of the lecture, we visited Rikkyo University’s Ikebukuro Campus. As a third-year employee, I was excited to be back on a university campus after so long, and I headed to the classroom with the nervous energy of a high school student preparing for entrance exams.

Upon arriving at the campus, we first greeted Professor Ikawa, the faculty member in charge, and Toyoda, the NTV announcer who was moderating the lecture.
The lecture was about to begin.
The session lasted 100 minutes, with a 50-minute lecture, followed by a 30-minute discussion with Professor Mitsuo Ikawa and announcer Junko Toyoda, and a 20-minute Q&A session where students could ask questions.

We had approximately 300 students participate—225 in the physical classroom and 75 online from Niiza…!

(As expected of an announcer, Ms. Toyoda served as the voice of the students in the audience, asking questions they were curious about
as well as sharp, insightful questions, sparking lively discussion!)

The students also asked very enthusiastic questions!
Among the students who asked questions, there was one who had visited SUNNY SIDE UP as part of a corporate visit program when they were in junior high school, which was quite a surprise. Another student asked, “You have overcome many crises—how do you manage to stay so composed when dealing with them?” Perhaps the Executive Vice President’s presence or aura came through (laughs).
To all the students who participated in “Learning About the Media World from Rikkyo Alumni,” thank you very much.
Finally…
SSU also conducts guest lectures at other universities.
