Supporting Local Restaurants Near the Office with Takeout! A “Community Support-Style Year-End Celebration” Combining Online and Offline Elements!

In 2020, everyone experienced many “changes” and it was a hectic year due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. At SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP, 2020 was also a year of significant change, including the implementation of teleworking as a countermeasure against the virus and the renovation of our new office. In the blink of an eye, the time for the final working day of the year has arrived.
This year, given the difficulty of holding traditional year-end parties, we held a “new era year-end celebration” that combined online and offline elements!
Restaurants have been hit hard by the spread of COVID-19. Out of a desire to provide even a little support to these establishments, we held a “community support-style” year-end celebration involving local restaurants! We arranged takeout dishes from six local establishments: Darihan, Sansuiro, Aoyama Shanway, GOOD MORNING CAFE NOWADAYS, Monmouth Tea, and Teketeke Yoyogi Store.
We enjoyed sushi from Darihan, a place SUNNY SIDE UP members frequently visit; spring rolls and gyoza from Sansuiro, a Chinese restaurant in front of Yoyogi Station; peppery fried chicken from the teppan-Chinese restaurant Aoyama Shanway; an appetizer set that pairs perfectly with wine from GOOD MORNING CAFE NOWADAYS; quiche that goes excellently with tea from the specialty shop Monmouth Tea; and yakitori to accompany drinks from Teketeke Yoyogi Store!
The members were delighted with the dishes from these well-known local shops. Of course, drinks were also permitted.
Following the final words of appreciation for 2020 from the President, a toast was led by a Director of SUNNY SIDE UP!
After thoroughly implementing infection prevention measures, everyone picked up their takeout dishes!
The scene at the venue was also broadcast online. Members working via telework were able to enjoy the year-end party together.
As the “Official PR Agency for Dagayasando,”Dagayasando Timesthis year-end party was unique to our group, which has supported the Dagayasando area (Sendagaya and Kitasando) through initiatives such as operating the .
