Premium Friday Event: “Office Training Program” Led by Athletic Trainer Namiki, Who Developed Hidetoshi Nakata’s Core Strength
Hello! This is Sunny-chan from Public Relations.
This month’s Premium Friday featured an “Office Training Program” held at our office, led by athletic trainer Masamitsu Namiki, who developed Hidetoshi Nakata’s core strength. We also provided online streaming for remote team members.
Sunny-chan, who has been lacking exercise due to staying home recently, of course participated!
Our guest was Masamitsu Namiki, who served as the Japan national soccer team trainer for many years and created the “physical strength” of Nakata and Maezono! He is a renowned trainer who accompanied the team to three FIFA World Cups and four Olympics. He currently serves as the representative of sports massage and studio “Nazoo.”
Mr. Namiki implemented a special program for our group!
The program included “Synapsology” to stimulate the brain and “Bodyweight Stability” to strengthen the core—designed to refresh bodies that have become sluggish from continued remote work and staying at home.
At 5:00 PM, members gathered one after another in the space in front of the screen in the center of the office.

Some members had changed into workout clothes, showing they were fully prepared!

The training started with Mr. Namiki’s greeting! A bit nervous about whether I could keep up with exercise after such a long time…
We started with a warm-up called “delayed rock-paper-scissors,” which tests reflexes. As the difficulty increased, the atmosphere became more and more lively.

The trainer’s compliment, “Everyone, I think you’re quite fast!” made the members even more excited. (laughs)
Next was a breathing exercise while seated in a chair. This is actually the same method taught to Mr. Nakata!

This exercise activates the diaphragm and stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, leading to improved performance in subsequent training.
Next, core training while leaning against the counter! We learned that a weak core causes the body to wobble during movement, which can easily lead to lower back and shoulder pain. Therefore, strengthening the core is extremely important.

This was harder than it looked…! Hearing that it could correct swayback, which puts strain on the lower back, I worked hard to keep up.
After that, we continued with “Single Leg Deadlift” to strengthen the glutes, training in a “sumo wrestler’s stance” to develop flexibility in the hip joints and chest area (important for movement), and shoulder exercises for stiff shoulders…
The finale was training called “Tabata Protocol,” which involves “performing high-intensity exercise for 20 seconds, then resting for 10 seconds” repeated for “8 sets.” It has the effect of improving cardiopulmonary function.
Just when we thought it would start with the trainer’s kind words, “Let’s do the beginner version today!”… the president’s comment “No, let’s do the tough one!” leveled it up. (laughs)

Everyone ended up with faces like this due to the intensity… (laughs) Sunny-chan sincerely regretted the lack of daily exercise.
It was a simple 30-40 minute course, but perhaps because many members hadn’t exercised in a while, everyone was exhausted. However, because we all worked hard together, we were able to end the week with a refreshed feeling!
Protein after finishing! The members’ favorite is “MYPROTEIN.”

Protein is essential for maximizing training effects. It features a very easy-to-drink taste, and you can choose your favorite from a wide variety of flavors!
Additionally, the first six program participants were able to experience Mr. Namiki’s massage!

The lucky members had blissful expressions during the exquisite massage that relieved their daily fatigue. (laughs)
Refreshed, the program concluded. Great work this week! The fact that I had muscle soreness all over the next day is a secret from the members… (laughs)
Why not try indoor exercises to relieve exercise deficiency during your time at home?
See you in the next blog!
