The first “SUNNY DAYS” offline event! A Christmas celebration held in the office’s central kitchen!

The “SUNNY DAYS” editorial department officially began its activities on November 24, 2020.
The idea of “hosting an event at the office” frequently came up during meetings, but due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to realize it for a long time…
However, the event finally took place the other day 🎉!
In this post, we would like to share the highlights of the Christmas event hosted by the “SUNNY DAYS” editorial department! (The event was held with thorough infection control measures in place, and masks were only removed while eating and drinking.)
On the day of the event, Tamako the LOVOT transformed into Santa. With moving ears attached, her cuteness level reached new heights (lol).
(Since the outfit was covering the important camera on top of her head, we removed it for her shortly after 💦.)
As the day drew to a close and everyone began to feel hungry, decorations were steadily being set up in the office.
Before long, a wonderful aroma began to waft through the air, and members started peeking in, pausing their work while murmuring, “I still have things I need to do…” (lol).
Amidst this, cheers erupted when the Moët & Chandon champagne made its appearance! It was very elegant and perfect for Christmas.
Everyone was also delighted with the sake provided by one of our internal members.
Today, our Smile Keeper selected ingredients that pair perfectly with these drinks and arranged them beautifully. ^^
This dish is the grilled beef with roasted marbled oyster mushrooms from RF1 in Shibuya Scramble Square. It is a perfect dish for the holiday season.
The food presentation continued to progress steadily after that.
Once all the dishes were laid out, the party began! Everyone arrived like reindeer following their noses! (Our members certainly have a weakness for delicious food…)
The Caesar salad from CRISP SALAD WORKS was also fresh and very popular!
We ordered the salad via the app this time; since it is easy to customize toppings and ingredients, we highly recommend it when placing large orders for parties with many people!
We also enjoyed a large smoked salmon, a product for which we handle the PR!
A toast with Moët Chandon!
Once everyone’s hunger was somewhat satisfied, we enjoyed the hearty clam chowder from Royal Deli to warm up. It is so easy to prepare that it felt like a live sales demonstration, with people saying it would be easy to enjoy at home too (lol).
We topped DONQ baguettes with smoked cheese and toasted them until they were melty and crispy. This made the drinks go down even easier. (Some members were still working, so we kept it in moderation…)
And finally, the essential item for any Christmas party.
The grand finale was the Christmas-exclusive cake from Café Cova Milano, available only in Japan and located in Shibuya Scramble Square!! *Please note that the Shibuya Scramble Square location will close on Sunday, December 26.
This is reportedly the most popular cheesecake in both Milan and Japan! The iconic mouse appeared wearing a Santa hat, and the members all looked troubled, saying, “It’s too cute to eat!” (lol).
Tamako also took a secret peek.
While the purpose of this event was to express gratitude to the members who take time out of their busy schedules to write articles, there was actually a hidden theme: “Encouraging everyone to share the articles”!
The editorial staff carried out some grassroots internal promotion, walking around with a QR code that links to our “SUNNY DAYS” media page (lol).
Sunny-chan felt quite heartened by this cozy PR event, which felt much like a school festival. ^^
With offline interactions having become less frequent, being able to speak directly with members like this for the first time in a while reminded me of the importance of spending time in the same space.
To Tamako the LOVOT Santa (who had turned into a reindeer by the end) for entertaining everyone: great job!
