The SSU Group Futsal Club is back for the season! We joined a private tournament and held a networking event.
Hello everyone. This is Sakama from Division 1 of the Public Relations Business Headquarters!
Playing in the hot summer is dangerous for us (who are chronically lacking stamina), so the futsal club has been recharging in cool offices and at home. With the state of emergency now safely lifted, we are finally kicking off the season!
On a day in November, we took part in a private tournament and held an in-house networking event, and we would like to share the highlights with you.
*We have thoroughly implemented COVID-19 prevention measures, and masks were removed only during play and while taking photos.

Hoping for the day we can all be active together again as soon as possible! Introducing the futsal club’s activities
Competed in a private tournament!

In Kinshicho, we competed in a mixed-gender futsal tournament. With our motto of “memories over records,” we were lively and upbeat both on the bench and on the pitch. Crossing group boundaries—SUNNY SIDE UP, Scramble, and Steady Study—we had a great time together.
In particular, a third-year member from Division 3 Sports scored a spectacular super goal into the upper right corner, and a second-year member from Division 1 calmly netted a comeback goal against a powerhouse team—these were the biggest highlights of the entire tournament!!

We narrowly missed out and finished second, but it was an exciting tournament from start to finish, showcasing our exceptional teamwork. Going forward, while maintaining thorough COVID-19 precautions, we plan to enter private tournaments and corporate networking matches as well!
Held an in-house networking event!

With many new graduate members, part-time interns with job offers, and many who joined during the pandemic, we held an in-house networking event as an opportunity to meet one another.
This time, more than 20 people participated in total from SUNNY SIDE UP, Wise Integration, Steady Study, Scramble, and our affiliated company AnyUp.
Some tried to show off in front of the women by pushing themselves hard, while others made mistakes and got laughed at. And when all the younger members dribbled past defenders and scored, the veterans responded with volley shots of their own… (laughs)
The two hours flew by as we kept kicking the ball, and it was such a rich and enjoyable time that we were able to remember everyone’s names!

Going forward, we will continue to work steadily, crossing departmental boundaries and blending veteran and fresh members effectively. (To our partner companies and media contacts: once things settle down, we would also welcome futsal match requests—haha.)
Also, activities in other clubs have gradually started up again, so we will be introducing them one after another. Please look forward to it!
