Shouting Gratitude from the Heart of the Office! A Valentine’s Day Event to Exchange Daily Thanks
Hello, everyone! I am Hirahara, the Smile Keeper.
A little time has passed, but February 14th was Valentine’s Day! To celebrate, we held an event at the Central Kitchen located right in the middle of the SUNNY SIDE UP office.
In this post, I would like to report on that fun and delicious time.
On the day of Valentine’s. A variety of sweet treats, ordered and collected since the previous week, were lined up. Members gathered as if suddenly remembering, “Oh, that’s right, it’s Valentine’s Day!” (Perhaps because PR professionals prepare for Valentine’s sales campaigns many seasons in advance, they tend to forget the actual day itself… lol)
Allow me to introduce a few of those treats 🍫
DONQ Chocolat Baguette
A very stylish Valentine’s-exclusive baguette with a rich chocolate aroma. It contained not only chocolate but also cranberries and hazelnuts, allowing us to enjoy a tart flavor and rich texture! (Please note that sales for this item have now ended.)
Lotte Ghana Series
“Ghana Milk Chocolate” is easily available at convenience stores. While there are various flavors like strawberry and citron, the packaging is also colorful and very cute. The most popular item was the milk flavor of “Premium Ghana Nama Chocolate”!
Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser
The Velvetiser is a chocolate drink maker that allows you to enjoy an authentic, cafe-like taste at the office or at home. With milk and the dedicated chocolate flakes, it is ready in about two minutes! We fully enjoyed the deep flavor and elegant chocolate aroma.
Deliver Your Gratitude! Wrapping Message Corner
We set up a wrapping and message corner in the kitchen. We provided wrapping materials and message cards so that members could give gifts with a “Thank you for everything!” message to supervisors who support them, junior members who are working hard, and of course, that special someone (?).
Expressing gratitude that usually goes unsaid through a seasonal event truly brings a warm feeling to the heart! (I felt personally heartened seeing everyone writing their messages so earnestly.)
Valentine’s from the Smile Keeper!? Freshly Baked, Crispy Mini Chocolate Pies Mini Sausage Pies
In the evening, just when everyone was getting a bit hungry, we baked two types of mini pies using the kitchen oven!!
First, the mini chocolate pies.
We made them mini-sized so they could be easily eaten in one bite.
And since everyone usually wants something salty after eating something sweet, we also prepared mini sausage pies! This allowed for an endless loop of snacking. ^^
The hungry members filled their stomachs with these snacks!
Making Original Cookies!
Finally, everyone returned to their childhood roots by decorating original cookies with colorful chocolate pens. Some people were quite skilled at writing messages of gratitude!
How was it?
Regardless of whether it is Valentine’s Day, it is wonderful to convey feelings that are usually left unsaid through a message, or to treat yourself to sweet treats for your hard work… (Just be careful not to overindulge! lol)
We plan to continue holding kitchen events that bring a sense of the seasons to the office. We are also looking forward to White Day next month! We will continue to report on these events, and we hope you enjoy reading about them!
