Are you familiar with “Peeps Joshi,” a new genre gaining attention in Harajuku, the hub of fashion and culture?
“Peeps Joshi” refers to girls who prefer cool, edgy styles centered on dark colors and black fashion. It is a new fashion genre currently attracting significant attention on Twitter and Instagram. The name reportedly originates from “PEEPS,” a Harajuku-based fashion media outlet popular among girls who love rock and “bad” street fashion.
The basic style for Peeps Joshi consists of: 1) All-black outfits, 2) Incorporating purple or neon colors, and 3) Showing a bit of skin, such as the midriff or thighs! Using this basic style as a foundation, Harajuku girls are currently obsessed with expressing their individuality through accessories to create a look that is both cool and cute.
When I searched for it on Instagram, I found myself captivated just by looking at the various unique outfits; it was truly enjoyable to see.
