[32 Benefits] PR Company Club Activities Include “Information Dissemination”!? Introducing Our In-House Club Activities in Honor of the Sports Season!
Hello, I’m Sunny-chan!
We’re already in late October. The days when a coat is essential are increasing. The crisp air and the sky that seems higher than usual… you can really feel autumn.
When it comes to autumn, there’s “the season for hearty appetites,” “the season for reading,” and it’s the perfect season for doing various things… but autumn is definitely “the season for sports”!!
We at SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP promote “club activities” where members engage in sports after work or on holidays to encourage member health and activate internal communication. Each club activity is supported by the company under the “Club Activity Support” program, established as one of our unique benefits called “32 Benefits.” (Annual club budgets are determined through presentations to executives held once a year!)
In fact, these activities have been recognized, and we were selected as one of only 11 companies out of approximately 370 to be certified as a “Tokyo Sports Promotion Model Company.”
So in this blog post, we’ll introduce five club activities operating under the “Club Activity Support” program!
*Some photos used in this blog were taken in 2019. Currently, we conduct activities with full consideration for member health management.
[Baseball Club] Aim for Home Runs in Both Work and Baseball!?

The baseball club’s motto is “Aim for a home run on every pitch!” (laughs).
“Steady progress isn’t fun! Strikeouts are OK! We’re aiming for that perfect hit!” The baseball club is full of members who aim high, but they’ve also achieved third place in the annual Press Health Insurance Baseball Tournament!
The baseball club finished in the top 8 two years ago and third place last year, experiencing some disappointment. This year, three young members joined the team, strengthening the lineup! They’re practicing daily to seriously capture that championship.
Also, they’re actively recruiting members to come cheer at tournaments. Sunny-chan went to cheer at last year’s tournament to post on Twitter, but got so caught up in cheering that the match was incredibly exciting (laughs)!
[Golf Club] Golf Skills Are Essential for PR Professionals!?

The golf club brings together everyone from beginners to veterans!
From beginners making their round debut to veteran golfers, members from all genres gather across company divisions, departments, and years of experience.
Here’s what a typical schedule looks like:
– Gather early in the morning in each area and drive to the venue.
– Get pumped up with beer and start playing (laughs)!
– After finishing the first half round, recharge with lunch and resume play.
– Finally, the day ends with the results announcement, which is really a wrap-up party.
It’s a valuable opportunity for young first-year employees to interact with veteran members, and it seems to be a huge hit every time! The beer after exercise looks delicious too!
[Tennis Club] Teamwork Matters on the Court Just Like at Work!

Tennis club members also come together with various experience levels, from those attending tennis school to those playing for the first time in four years since their student club days, to complete beginners!
Once at the tennis court, everyone starts by practicing slowly. When everyone’s warmed up… the main event, the “team competition,” begins!!
Split into two teams, playing 2-on-2 on the court in a race to 20 points! The losing team faces a penalty! *The penalty content is relentlessly strict—”push-ups” (laughs)
Also, during breaks, the “Sunny Challenge,” formerly known as the Shuzo Challenge, suddenly begins, where members challenge themselves to return the powerful serves of experienced tennis players…
It’s an at-home atmosphere where you can have fun conversations with members from different departments or projects that you don’t usually get to communicate with!
[Futsal Club] What Started as Casual Play Grew into a Championship-Winning Team!

Among the club activities, the futsal club is one of the most active!
It started with just young members kicking a ball around, but now it has grown to over 30 members across departments. Not just experienced players, but beginners and female members also enjoy futsal together in a lively atmosphere every time.
Because there are many experienced players, beginners can play with confidence, which is a great advantage. In January of this year, they participated in a tournament and achieved brilliant results, winning all six matches for the championship (!)
After practice, the standard course is a wrap-up party at the futsal club’s favorite “certain Korean restaurant.”
Even members who previously only exchanged simple greetings at the office deepen their relationships through practice and build good connections—that’s the real pleasure of club activities.
[Running Club] Home Base at the National Stadium!? Run Through Tokyo!

The “Running Club” (commonly known as TOKYO RUNNERS) also deepens horizontal connections through club activities with approximately 20 members of various ages and genders.
On the day of this year’s first run, which was the second activity, members gathered at the office at 8:30 AM before work hours!
They ran a course of about 3 kilometers that allows you to visitfamous spots in the Dagaya Sandou area all at once, taking commemorative photos at each location! They purchased stylish sandwiches at a famous shop in the Dagaya Sandou area and ate breakfast together after running. You can see the activities from that time here.
In addition, they participated in the “Shibuya-Omotesando Women’s Run” tournament, and during the COVID self-restraint period, they held a “Morning Yoga Session” both online and offline that even non-club members could participate in, conducting various activities.
Even members who are interested in running but don’t know where to start can feel at ease! Members who can complete a full marathon in just over 3 hours will support you from shoe selection.
Finally… For a PR Company, Club Activities Include Information Dissemination!
That concludes our introduction to the five club activities at SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP!
However, for us who work in PR, simply conducting club activities is not the end… It’s our responsibility as PR professionals to disseminate our activities to the world (laughs)!
So going forward, members of each club will report on their club activities themselves. Also, each member will share the appeal and behind-the-scenes of club activities on their own social media with the hashtag #clubsunny, so please check that out too!!
While taking sufficient precautions against the spread of COVID-19, why not enjoy the sports season yourself?
