March 8 is International Women’s Day: An opportunity to reflect on women’s health and life planning through an in-house online seminar
Hello! This is PR Sunny-chan.
Today, Monday, March 8, is International Women’s Day, known worldwide as a day to reflect on how women live their lives and to express gratitude to women.

This year marks the 47th year since the United Nations established the day in 1975, and the theme is “Women in leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world.” In recent years, as the number of working women has increased, women’s life planning has also begun to be regarded as increasingly important.
At SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP, with the desire to support our female members in having as many “life choices” as possible, we have offered the “Dear Woman Program,” a benefit program that provides assistance for egg freezing, since 2015.
We held an in-house online seminar on “Women’s health and life planning.”
To mark International Women’s Day today, we invited Dr. Tetsuaki Kaku, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Phoenix Medical Clinic, and held an in-house online seminar to learn once again “What is egg freezing?” and “How can women use it when planning their lives?”
According to Dr. Kaku, due to the trend toward later marriage in Japan, about 29% of couples struggle with infertility—far exceeding the global figure of 5%. In addition, the number of eggs in the ovaries decreases every day from the day a woman is born, and menopause occurs once they are depleted. The timing of menopause varies from person to person; it is said that one in 1,000 women experiences menopause in their 20s, and one in 100 may do so in their 30s.
For this reason, when women envision their future life plans, the number of eggs they have is an important factor. The AMH test makes it possible to check that number.
Even for women who are not yet planning to become pregnant, it may be an important piece of information when considering future life planning.
It was a valuable opportunity not only for our female members, but also for our male members, to think about the health of their families and partners. Thank you very much, Dr. Kaku.
We received wonderful gifts for our female members from JANAT.
In addition, today we implemented the “Premium Woman Day Program,” a benefits initiative to express gratitude to women in conjunction with International Women’s Day.
From the Paris, France-born tea brand JANAT, which always supports us, we received heart-shaped chocolates to mark International Women’s Day.

JANAT supports women’s empowerment (building the ability to shape one’s own life) in sympathy with the activities of the Femmes du monde Foundation, and aims for a world in which women can lead fulfilling lives through improved work and living environments. Together, they have launched various projects to promote women’s growth.

These lovely heart-shaped chocolates became a gift for our female members as a treat for themselves for all their hard work, and for our male members, the perfect item to express their usual gratitude to their partners and families.

Going forward, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP will actively promote awareness of International Women’s Day through this “Premium Woman Day” initiative and related PR activities.
In addition, we will continue our efforts not only to empower women, but also to build an equal society for everyone—and to help create “fun commotion” for anyone—so that all can enjoy fun days ahead.
Today may be a good day to celebrate the achievements of the women around you and share your feelings of gratitude by saying “thank you.”
