A cycle of smiles and “GOOD”! A full report on the newly powered-up 2nd “SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Friends Family Day 2026” 🍳

Hello! I’m Sunny-chan.

The reason we can give our all every day to create “fun commotion” is because we have family and friends—and our beloved pets—supporting us behind the scenes and sometimes right by our side.

We want all of you who are so important to us to learn about—and enjoy—what kind of place we work in, who we work with, and what we value.

With that in mind, we launched “SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Friends Family Day” last year. This year, in response to its great popularity, we held the second event at our Sendagaya office 🎉

This year, even more family and friends joined us than last year, and we saw even more energetic “Sunny Kids,” making the office lively from start to finish! At the entrance, vibrant mimosa decorations welcomed everyone ahead of International Women’s Day 🌼

With content that was even more enhanced than last time, we will share a full report on a day filled with a chain reaction of smiles and “GOOD” 🔍

Authentic Thai food and popcorn, too! The Central Kitchen was a huge hit

Passing through the mimosa-decorated entrance and heading to the “Central Kitchen” in the middle of the office, we were greeted by the enticing aroma of spices…!

The highlight food this time was special catering by the popular Thai chef edaa, who gained experience in Tokyo and honed her skills on Koh Samui, Thailand! With a menu that allowed you to adjust the spice level, the authentic Thai dishes were a big hit with both adults and children 🍛

In addition, “TKG (tamago kake gohan),” one of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP’s unique employee benefits, “32 Benefits,” also made a special appearance! With a variety of toppings to go with the rice, everyone was able to enjoy the office flavor our members love 🥚🥢

And then—pop! pop!—a delightful sound from somewhere… 🍿 This time, a popcorn machine appeared in the office! Seeing the kids exploring the office with freshly made popcorn in hand was truly heartwarming.

A new project that creates a “GOOD cycle”! SUNNY MARKET

One of the highlight projects this time was the first-ever 0-yen flea market at Friends Family Day: “SUNNY MARKET” 🛍️

The theme was “a cycle of GOOD.” Participants brought items that no longer suited them due to children growing up or changes in adults’ life stages, and passed them on to the next person who needed them.

Each item came with a message card sharing “how it was used” and “who they would like to use it,” creating many warm interactions through these items 🤝

Packed with playfulness! Activities that had everyone excited

The kids’ activities that were a big hit last year returned again this year! A “super ball scooping” booth—complete with the familiar yellow duckies—appeared in the office, and many kids got so absorbed they lost track of time.

In addition, at the original coloring corner featuring AI-generated designs of a “GOOD world × sunny-side-up egg,” impressive works that even surprised adults were created one after another!

Do not forget to make memories, too. At the “Family Photo” session with a professional photographer and the “President’s Room Studio,” where President Tsugihara’s room was specially opened, we even saw future presidents (?!), sitting in the president’s chair for commemorative photos 📸

A special talk session of laughter and emotion?

After enjoying delicious food and activities, everyone gathered in front of the screen! The main content of the event was a “Special Talk Session” featuring SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP representative Tsugihara and SUNNY SIDE UP Director Matsumoto.

They shared how the company the two of them started in 1985—when they were 17-year-old high school students—in a small one-room apartment in Nakano has now grown into a group with more than 550 members.

They also spoke about the behind-the-scenes stories of numerous projects that have created new values in society through the power of PR. In fact, even on this Friends Family Day, many members were working hard on-site 🏃‍♂️ They shared the company’s journey and PR work directly with everyone’s families.

Then, Tsugihara shared the following message with everyone:

“For us to create ‘fun commotion’ in the world, our members themselves must first be happy in both their work and private lives. The people who support those members every day are all of you—the families here today. Thank you very much.”

Seeing families nod deeply at these words and the proud expressions on members’ faces, the venue was filled with a warm atmosphere.

To finish, a gift of original bottles!

The fun time flew by in an instant.

The souvenir we handed out on the way home was a “SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP original bottle”! 🎁 Along with this limited item that is perfect for everyday use, everyone took home plenty of the day’s exciting, joyful memories.

At the second “Friends Family Day,” we were able to see the smiles of everyone who attended and hear kids say, “Dad and Mom’s company was fun!”—and the organizing members were deeply moved.

With heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supports us every day, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP will continue to create lots of “fun commotion” in the world 🍳
