Updating with the Times! SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP Introduces New Systems to Support Childcare, Nursing Care, and Diverse Working Styles within Its Unique “32 Benefits” Welfare Program
Hello, everyone! This is Sunny-chan from Public Relations.
In July 2025, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP updated its unique welfare program, the “32 Benefits.” 🍳
In response to the phased implementation of the revised Childcare and Family Care Leave Act starting in April 2025, this revision introduces two new systems, “Dear PARENTS” and “Dear FAMILY,” to support childcare, nursing care, and diverse working styles.
Furthermore, four new systems have been added, including the “Support Hour” system to encourage flexible working styles and the “Asekatsu” (Sweat Activity) system aimed at maintaining members’ physical and mental health and improving well-being.
What are the “32 Benefits,” the welfare program for “working and living with fun”?

Based on our group slogan, “Let’s Have Fun!”, this unique welfare system was established in 2011 to ensure that each member can work in their own way and lead a fulfilling life.
The program includes unique and characteristic systems such as “Support for Creating Fun Stir,” “Romantic Match Leave,” “Broken Heart Leave,” and “Happiness Doesn’t Just Walk to You,” as well as systems that flexibly support diverse lifestyles and working styles.
Behind these systems is the desire to create an environment where members can work vibrantly and stay true to themselves, which ultimately leads to improved engagement and performance.
What are the key points of the update?
In this update, four new systems have been introduced to support childcare, nursing care, working styles, and health. Let us introduce the details of these new welfare benefits. 🙌
1. Introduction of the “Dear PARENTS” System
The “Dear PARENTS” system has been created to provide stronger support for members balancing work with childcare or nursing care. In light of social backgrounds such as the revision of the Childcare and Family Care Leave Act and the declining birthrate and aging population, we provide flexible support tailored to the diverse life stages of each member.
<Childcare Support>
- The eligibility period for male members to take “Prenatal (Postnatal) Special Leave” has been expanded from “7 days before the expected or actual date of birth” to “within six months after birth.”
- Subsidizing a portion of babysitter usage costs
<Nursing Care Support>
- For members caring for family members living with them, costs for helper services and other expenses will be subsidized in stages according to the required level of care.
2. Introduction of the “Dear FAMILY” System
The “Dear FAMILY” system has been established to value the connection between the company and families more than ever before. Throughout the year, we will provide events and opportunities to deepen understanding of work and promote interaction with families.
<Main Initiatives>
- Holding the “SSU Group Friends Family Day,” an event to invite family and friends to the office
- Implementing “Kids Intern,” an office experience program for children up to elementary school age during long school holidays
- Establishing “Nest For Kids,” a platform for members raising children to exchange information

3. Introduction of the “Support Hour” System to Encourage Flexible Working Styles
The “Support Hour” system was created with the aim of fostering a culture that supports diverse working styles.
When a member needs to step away temporarily for childcare or nursing care, they can display the status “In Support Hour” on internal communication tools. This system allows the team to follow up on tasks for one another, promoting more flexible working styles.
4. Introduction of the “Asekatsu” System to Support Physical and Mental Health
To support the maintenance of members’ physical and mental health and the improvement of well-being, the “Asekatsu” (Sweat Activity) system has been created to subsidize the costs of using gyms and saunas.
In response to the recent increase in health awareness, we will continue to enhance systems that support member health and well-being, building on existing programs such as “Sleeping Children Grow” (supporting adequate sleep) and “Happiness Doesn’t Just Walk to You” (supporting health maintenance with a goal of 10,000 steps per day).
SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP will continue to prioritize supporting an environment where members can work and live as themselves. We will continuously update our systems while responding flexibly to the changes of the times and the voices of our members.
Furthermore, we will strive to create a culture where each member, with their diverse values and personalities, can continue to take on challenges with peace of mind while utilizing their respective strengths.
