SUNNY SIDE UP’s 2023 Job Offer Ceremony Held in the Office for the First Time in Three Years! A Diverse Group Gathered Again This Year!

As this is an important day to welcome the members we will work with as a team in the future, our in-house team worked together to prepare for it.

And on the day! Our fresh new job offer recipients arrived at the office with expressions mixing nerves and excitement!!

By the time the ceremony began, had everyone’s nerves eased a bit…?

Once the venue was ready, it was finally time for the job offer recipients to enter. As you opened the door and walked in, your faces showed nervousness, but also a sense of determination.

The ceremony then moved on to congratulatory remarks from our directors.

Congratulations on receiving your job offers! I also joined SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP on July 1 this year. Welcome to SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP. There is something important I would like to share with you, but let us talk about it on April 1, when you become working professionals.

I have one regret. After the job offer ceremony, I wish I had made the most of the six months I still had as a student. Student life is precious time. Find new companions and friends. Your fellow job offer recipients may become lifelong friends and comrades. For the remaining six months,please enjoy yourselves to the fullest and spend time with your peers. Good morning, everyone! I am also a new member who joined in July. I would like to participate in your new employee training as well.

This is the second time I have spoken at a job offer ceremony; five years ago, I spoke at another company. The woman who attended then as a job offer recipient has now become a friend who can do far better work than I can. Today I am speaking to you as your supervisor, but I hope that in five years you, too, will be able to do outstanding work.

Lastly, I believe one of the things you should do at the end of your student life is to have as much fun as possible. Once you become working professionals, it can be difficult to find time, and there are experiences you can only have now. Please make sure to build many enjoyable experiences.

I joined as a new graduate and this is still my first company. When I joined, it was an era when we did not even have job offer ceremonies, and my first encounter with SUNNY SIDE UP began with an incident where no one was in the office and I waited for six hours. (Laughs)

Congratulations on receiving your job offers! I joined this company when I was 17, and I am now entering my 38th year. In the beginning, we struggled greatly with hiring,and it was extremely difficult to find people willing to join a small company in a small office. It may sound laughable, but there was even a time when we wrote things like “Employees Wanted!” on the back of copy paper and stuck them up everywhere.

However, one particular event gave birth to a dream.Someday, I wanted to make this a company where truly many people would want to work. And after many decades, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP now receives an incredible number of entry sheets—more than we can count.

Each year, I feel a small sense of pride, thinking that perhaps we have become, even just a little, the kind of company where many people want to work—and that the dream I had back then may have come true. That is why finding colleagues who will build the company’s future with us is a very serious endeavor for us. I am sure your job search was also very challenging. It was a serious endeavor, and I believe we can both feel that this moment is where you arrived after that earnest effort.

Back in the waiting room, the job offer recipients carefully read the message cards they received together with their job offer certificates.

These cards will be collected once afterward. We put our hopes into them: that 24 months from now, when you have grown into fully fledged PR professionals, you will read them, remember today, and use that as motivation for what lies ahead.

After the ceremony, we held a networking reception at bills Omotesando!

Spending time with all of you for the first time today has made us look forward to April next year even more!
