Cherry Blossoms at Azabudai Hills

Azabudai Hills is planted with a variety of seasonal flora to embody the concept of a “Modern Urban Village”—a city like a plaza that connects people and is surrounded by greenery. Approximately 100 cherry trees of 10 different species with varying blooming periods have been planted in the area, allowing visitors to enjoy the blossoms over an extended period 💡

Someiyoshino, Oshima-zakura, Shidare-zakura, and Jindai-akebono are expected to bloom around late March, followed by Kanzan (double-flowered cherry blossoms) in mid-April. You may enjoy visiting at different times to discover the differences between the blossoms or to find your favorite variety 🌸
Tomokazu Matsuyama: FIRST LAST
Additionally, this spring, the Azabudai Hills Gallery will host “Tomokazu Matsuyama: FIRST LAST,” a large-scale solo exhibition by New York-based contemporary artist Tomokazu Matsuyama, whose work continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

This exhibition features over 40 works, including 19 large-scale pieces being shown in Japan for the first time. In particular, the painting “We Met Thru Match.com” (2016), which measures over 6 meters wide and was created by Matsuyama over several months of working day and night, is a must-see.
