SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP 2026 New Graduate Unofficial Offer Ceremony Report: “The First Day of Getting to Know Each Other”
Hello, this is Sunny-chan from Public Relations!
October has arrived, and the signs of autumn are gradually drawing near. 🍂Amidst this season, SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP held its unofficial offer ceremony for the 2026 fiscal year!
This year, the venue was once again our Sendagaya office. Surrounded by many smiles and laughter, it was a day that perfectly embodied our slogan, “Let’s Have Fun!”
Here is a condensed report on the highlights of the 2026 unofficial offer ceremony. 📣
A Look at the Ceremony!
The morning kicked off with self-introductions using profile sheets. This was followed by a “Values Workshop” designed to embody the theme of this year’s ceremony: “The First Day of Getting to Know Each Other.”
The session was designed to allow everyone—who will each start fresh at their respective assignments next spring—to get to know one another well and deepen their lateral connections at this stage. Time was set aside for each individual to share their personal values with these thoughts in mind.

While everyone seemed a bit nervous at first, they naturally began to open up as they shared their thoughts on topics ranging from their hometowns and how they spend their days off to their personal “motivation triggers.”
Voices of agreement like “I totally get that!” and bursts of laughter could be heard throughout the room!
Next was the long-awaited buffet lunch.
To our surprise, Mr. Harumichi Fukuda, a professional sushi chef from Choraku Harumichi Co., Ltd. who specializes in private catering, made an appearance at the office! 🍣
The recommendation of the day was seared flounder fin (engawa) sourced from Toyosu. Not only the prospective employees but also the senior staff were thrilled by Mr. Harumichi’s signature dish, which he insists should be eaten within 30 seconds of being seared on the spot!

The feast included bluefin tuna nigiri landed in Kushiro, Hokkaido—said to have been raised on Pacific saury—as well as the famous tamagoyaki from Marutake (the family home of Terry Ito), and a rich fish-head soup made with fresh tuna and red sea bream.

Some health-conscious comments—perhaps reflecting today’s rising prices—were heard, such as “I’ve never seen such a colorful salad!” and “I’m so happy there are plenty of vegetables!” Conversation flowed easily around the luxurious sushi and hors d’oeuvres.

A team-based quiz competition was held during the latter half of lunch!
Forming teams with senior members, the participants challenged themselves with company-related quizzes that were deceptively difficult.

The 11 questions included challenging topics such as the company’s founding date, the top three most popular menu items at bills (operated by SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP), and the name of SUNNY SIDE UP’s obscure “Credo Song.” Even Etsuko Tsugihara, President and Representative Director of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP, watched the competition with great interest as the top three most utilized “32 Benefits” (our employee welfare programs) were revealed.
There were moments where members held their heads in their hands, saying “This is too hard…” and other moments where cheers of “Yes!” broke out.
There was also a small surprise for this quiz competition! The prize for the winning team was a set of original cookies. 🍪

These were specially made for this day by marefox Co., Ltd., which operates a sweets and parfait bar in Yokohama. The charming appearance of the fried-egg logo and the gentle sweetness brought even wider smiles to the faces of the winning prospective employees.
It was a competition where prospective employees and their future senior colleagues enjoyed themselves together, filling the entire office with laughter. 🎉
The Unofficial Offer Letter Presentation Ceremony
In the afternoon, it was finally time for the Unofficial Offer Letter Presentation Ceremony. Etsuko Tsugihara, President and Representative Director of our group, personally handed the offer letters to each individual.

Incidentally, these offer letters were designed with the motif of the employee ID cards that every member of SUNNY SIDE UP GROUP carries at all times. By using the design of the ID cards that are normally issued after joining in April, we wanted to convey our desire to welcome them as fellow members of our group.

A point of pride is that the fried-egg logo is also included on the lanyard. 🍳
After the presentation to everyone was complete, representatives from each company gave their greetings.

As we celebrated our 40th anniversary this year, Tsugihara also shared stories from the time of our founding.
Our company, which started with just a few people in a single apartment room, has now grown into a group that welcomes over 20 prospective employees.

The unique representatives of each company spoke in unison, encouraging the students to make the most of their remaining time before joining the company—a period of unparalleled freedom—to learn while having fun, to “Let’s Have Fun!”, and to build a career true to themselves while valuing their individuality and sensibilities.
As a group that identifies as a “PR Communication Group,” even as we utilize the latest AI technology, our strengths remain rooted in the individuality, creativity, and communication skills of each person.
The messages concluded with the representatives expressing how much they look forward to seeing everyone again once they have grown even further.
The prospective employees listened with serious expressions. One could feel their expectations for the future and their resolve for the days ahead as PR professionals starting in the spring.

After the ceremony, a roundtable discussion was held with senior members. A variety of staff participated, ranging from new graduates who just joined this year to veterans with over 15 years of service.
Being able to ask specific questions is a unique benefit of speaking with seniors from the departments where they are scheduled to be assigned.
“What did you feel after becoming a working professional?” “What are the joys and difficulties of the job?” The seniors answered such candid questions with smiles. Even within the relaxed atmosphere, many reliable words were exchanged, reflecting their status as PR communication professionals.

Commemorative shot with senior members 📸
We are very much looking forward to next spring when our new colleagues will join us.

To all our prospective employees, congratulations! We look forward to seeing you again in the spring! 🌸
